Dirt therapy 🌱
Everything that was hardening off has been planted 🥳
I had a couple volunteers and myself planting, while Jen from and Dan removed last year's plants and weeded.
Now I have a whole bunch of seedlings hardening off for next weekend
Which brings me to my next point... As long as the weather is good, I will host planting/weeding sessions every Saturday from now until the end of June from 10am-2pm.
All volunteers will receive a pass for the build your own bouquet bar at the Red River Market or Pick Your Owns at the farm when blooms hit their peak.
Hope you join in on the fun 🥰

I feel like a kid on Christmas morning 😅
Today, we start planting the farm 🥳
It's a little later start than the past couple of years... one because of my injury and two, the weather has been so flip floppy.
But everything that will be going in the ground today can handle some cold temps and actually prefer a cooler start!
Can't wait to get started!

April in 10 photos.
Started off the month getting a crap ton of snow ❄️
Potted up tons of little seedlings 🌱
Kindness from strangers 🥰
And started the hardening off process 🥳
Planting begins tomorrow 🙌
If you have any time between 10am-2pm Saturday to help plant and prepare the field, DM me!
Volunteers will receive a pass for the build your own bouquet bar at the Red River Market or Pick Your Owns at the farm when blooms start rolling in!

ATTENTION FLOWER FRIENDS 💐
The time has come! The hardening off process has begun for our cool season flowers 🥳
The weather is going to be gorgeous this Saturday and I'm thinking its the perfect time to start planting.
So I'm looking for a handful of volunteers (5-10 people) to help plant around 3000 seedlings, start weeding in perennial areas, remove last year's plants, and possibly lay some landscape fabric from 10am-2pm.
Water, snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray will be provided.
I ask that you bring your own gardening gloves and any other accessories such as knee pads/hand tools.
In exchange for your help you will receive a pass for the build your own bouquet bar at the Red River Market or Pick Your Owns at the farm when the blooms hit their peak.
If you plan on attending, please comment below, DM me, or email me at [email protected] so I can plan accordingly.
Thank you for continuous support 🥰

👋 I'm alive, still in a sling but alive nonetheless 😅
I've gone to make a post so many times these last few weeks but just didn't know what to say.
The healing journey has been... well a journey. There are good days and there are bad days.
We did discover at my MRI that I tore my labrum (muscle in the shoulder). What does this mean? Well, maybe surgery 🙄
That's not something a flower farmer wants to hear right as the flower season is beginning.
Now my doctor told me some people get the surgery and some people don't, but also that this injury is fairly common in athletes and these athletes will wait until the season is over to get it.
I have a consult with an orthopedic surgeon at the end of May.
In the meantime I'm resting when I can, going to physical therapy, and tending to my seedlings... because no matter what, there WILL BE flowers this year.
This season will just be different. And that's ok especially when I have friends, family, and this lovely community at my side.
I love you flower friends! Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming planting/weeding community days at the farm!
As always thank you for your continuous support 🥰
