…the beautiful Ozark mountains and trees I saw last week inspired me to do a ‘wooded Christmas’ display, that can easily be transformed to a winter scape for January. I’ll show you what I’ve put together this afternoon during my ‘on the porch’ Facebook LIVE!

…this is my Chicago themed Christmas decorating ‘on the porch’ this morning🎄When I think of Chicago at Christmas…I remember all of the brightly lit trees…ice skating…photos showing old cars in the 1940’s…downtown hardware stores that are long gone…and Wrigley field. So, this is my take on some Chicago highlights at Christmas🎄

…I am BACK from Branson and so excited for our November 2023 women’s retreat…A Branson Christmas 2023…For a time such as this.

Our retreat tries to combine fellowship, worship, devotions and discussion, prayer, developing new friendships, along with shopping, eating, and visiting interesting places…but ultimately to bring us closer to God.

…what are the odds of running into your next door neighbors from Walnut, Iowa in Branson☺️☺️☺️It’s great when they are super nice people! This is my neighbor and friend Fran…and her husband Tim (not pictured) happens to be the best blacksmith and creates the most amazing iron pieces you’ll find Branan Ornamental Iron!

…I am in Branson checking things out and getting ideas for locations of places to visit for our November 2023 women’s retreat. Our retreat tries to combine fellowship, worship, devotions and discussion, prayer, developing new friendships, along with shopping, eating, and visiting interesting places…especially old churches in the area, like the Sycamore Log Church…amazing.

…so, that means…I have to try our food places. I think a meal at Paula Deen’s Family Restaurant and gift shop will always be a staple of our retreats…but beyond that I am checking out some other places. Which means…I am literally eating my way through Branson 😂. Black Oak Grilll was definitely a favorite…look for more!

…it was a beautiful day filled with sunshine, hikes, and FOOD Friday in Branson!♥️♥️

**BTW…the two photos of the tenderloin are from Smith’s Family Restaurant in Bolivar, amazing food, but the prices have gotten pretty high since our last visit. We bought the tenderloin to split between my husband and I because they are so large…can you guess which half is mine…and which half is his? 😂😂I can’t take him anywhere😂😂He’s decided he’s a food stylist…creating an owl with the condiments they brought😂

I think I enjoy myself waaaaaaay to much planning these retreats♥️♥️

…in Branson working on details for The Notebook Cafe women’s retreat 2023! Weather is beautiful. Music is awesome. The lights are spectacular! Next November Queen Esther will be at the Sights & Sounds Theater…so excited!! Sycamore Log Church visit Saturday, and Paula Deen’s Restaurant! Lots more…information coming out early 2023. Space is limited as our group of women will be 25. Last photos in this post are of this November’s retreat…it was awesome 🙏🏻🙏🏻 more adventures await today! Shelly
