Still a lot left to do on these. Sanding like a m**o, polishing, then buffing. The micarta (left and right) might also need sealed.
But happy with how they are looking so far! I will try to actually post the results most consistently for a change 🙃🙃

New office decor! Made a custom frame for this incredible print from my friend . The frame is stained pine with padauk inlays at the corners for that color scheme. Finished off with furniture finish.
I had been saving these padauk scraps for years and finally found the perfect use.

Finally back in the shop, noodling on a new prototype. Passing all tests so far, but still need to finish trimming, routing, and sanding. Here’s hoping the run of success continues.

Ok the Infinity 2.0 is done so hopefully I can actually stay on track posting a thing or three.
Routing the edges of the blocks, using a backer block to avoid tearout with mild effectiveness...

Trying a new material today, denim micarta from . Essentially layers of denim smushed together and set in resin. Holy crap is it dusty, super fine dust also like powdered sugar made of jeans 😂.
Tried to do some slow motion passes and this is the best I managed. If you look *really* closely you can see the changing color of the jet of dust coming off the chisel.
Still working in video skills but fairly happy with this one. And check my story for the results!

Pouring a Junior pen kit blank with Liquid Diamonds and Harajuku Girl color shift pigment. The mini waterfall (resinfall?) is mighty satisfying.
Will turn it soon and share the results.

Little stir and pour of some color shift Golden Pavilion from using liquid diamond resins. Trying to pour much more quickly after mixing this round due to air bubbles in my first attempt at casting my own blanks. This is for a tube in Sierra cast.
Definitely enjoying this new challenge and excited to dial it in so I can get creative with making more of my own stuff soon. And tube-in casts mean no drilling and epoxying in tubes which is a bonus.
Let's see how this one turns out...

The totally awesome Opal FX Poison pen, with Jr. Retro Hardware. This one is super cool, really love how it turned out.
Scroll right for a "before" and "during" picture. It is a great example of why there's so much time spent sanding, seeing how it goes from crystal clear to ... not so clear. Back to crystal clear!
