Feeling incredibly grateful to be part of the Leukemia Ball for yet another year.
This year was different. For the first time, I wasn’t only one of the people working behind the scenes to create the event — I was also able to sit in the room as a guest and truly experience it.
There were a lot of tears. A lot of powerful and deeply personal stories. And for the first time, I fully understood just how important this event really is. It’s a room filled with people who choose to care. People with big hearts who come together to help families, fund research, support patients, and give hope where hope is desperately needed.
Sometimes that means helping someone find a donor. Sometimes it means funding the research that may save a life. Every dollar raised matters because every story in that room matters.
And if there’s one thing I want to say: never let the opinions of people behind your back determine the direction of your life. The people who criticize the most are often the ones who risk the least. The only people who never make mistakes are the people who never do anything at all.
Keep building. Keep creating. Keep showing up. Even when people doubt you. Even when others don’t understand your vision.
One day, the work will speak louder than the noise.
