I just brought this petite writing table over to the shop. Often referred to as a ladies writing table, at 26” wide it’s actually perfect for anyone with a small space!

With so many new followers I wanted to introduce myself to some of you who may not know my backstory.

Hard to believe how time has flown, but nearly ten years ago I left my life in politics to start a brand new chapter as a small business owner. My parents had lived in England for fifteen years so I was a huge Anglophile and felt like English antiques tended to be represented in a very old school, stuffy way. So I opened the shop with the goal of curating antiques with English home decor brands to better translate them to a more modern aesthetic. And even better, as part of the job I get to go to England and source!

This pivot has allowed me to spend more time with my family with whom I started the business, and to share my love of England with all of you. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I pride myself on only buying what I love, and carrying unique pieces you can’t just buy on Amazon. My next buying trip is at the beginning of October so be sure to follow along and thank you for joining me on this journey!

I last did a photo shoot for the shop when we opened in 2017 so it was time! Thanks to a grant from GEORGETOWN MAIN STREET I went back to Stylish Productions and Robert Radifera Photography who did my initial shoot and we captured such great shots. I love seeing the shop at its best! Stay tuned for the reveal of more amazing pictures. 🙌

This pretty shot was taken in 2017 when the shop first opened and we did a photo shoot with Stylish Productions. I’m so excited to see the pictures coming my way from the photo shoot we did a few weeks ago. After 9 years it seemed definitely time for new photos. Needless to say the shop has changed so much!
