This pretty shot was taken in 2017 when the shop first opened and we did a photo shoot with Stylish Productions. I’m so excited to see the pictures coming my way from the photo shoot we did a few weeks ago. After 9 years it seemed definitely time for new photos. Needless to say the shop has changed so much!

Announcement! Pillar & Post will be closed for a short summer break from August 3rd until the 10th, reopening on Tuesday, August 11th. Feel free to reach out via DM in the interim. We will be off being respectably lazy. 🙃

Thanks to a grant from GEORGETOWN MAIN STREET we did a shop photo shoot today! I worked with Charlotte Safavi and Robert Radifera Photography when the shop first opened so it was great to get back together after 9 years for a refresh! So excited to see the pictures.

I wouldn’t own the shop I do if I didn’t love antiques! Our entry way at the Eastern shore makes me so happy because it is chock full of them: a ten foot long antique draper’s table, antique lamps, Italian earthenware jugs, and a vintage basket. All sourced from my buying trips to England. It was so fun to work with SCW Interiors to incorporate antiques into a coastal setting where you wouldn’t necessarily think it is a natural fit. Proving my philosophy, of course, that antiques work everywhere and add a unique touch. And this painting Shazalynn found is such a stunner and brings it all together.

I’m starting to plan my next England buying trip! Trying to decide between August and September so stay tuned…
Going to England is absolutely my favorite part of owning the shop. No trip is the same and I just love the excitement hunting for amazing pieces!

I love the glow the shop gets from the huge front bay window, it makes all the pieces shine!

So many new pretty silver things at the shop! People often feel put off from buying silver because they are worried the pieces need constant polishing, but that’s not the case at all. These beauties keep their luster for a long time, and when they do need a polish, it’s an easy 5 minute fix!
