We are so proud of our AXP, Pryce Deeder! He has now earned his Bachelor’s degree. He has worked for Alder since he was a Junior in High School. He will continue working for us this summer and then return to school next fall to start his Master’s program. It has been amazing to watch him grow!

Meet Gavin Korin, a junior at Career Tech High. He has been an employee at Alder Architecture for about 4 months. Last week he went on a tour of some campuses, yes, including Montana State University School of architecture where I earned my Masters!! He said it was his favorite of them all! Architect in the making!

He brought me some MSU “drip” from the campus bookstore❤️❤️

Let us take the stress out of your Christmas Chaos Countdown!! Load your car with all your gifts from home, or any store, and drop them off with us at the Clock Tower. We wrap FOR YOU!! (You can go work on wrapping up your Christmas shopping list, while we wrap up those items you’ve already purchased.) We call you when done so all you need to do is pick them up, and arrange them under your tree! All Donations made help get our homeless in the MatSu Valley off the streets. Please consider a donation - even if you’ve already wrapped your own gifts. Living on the streets is never ideal, but it is happening here and now, with more people than you know- even families with children. The weather we are experiencing brings huge challenges to those on the streets and exposure to these tempatures and wind chill can have devastating results. Please consider donating to keep someone safe and warm during this Christmas season.
We are at the Clock Tower daily 10-6; and Friday and Saturday 10-7. We will be here thru Christmas Eve wrapping… and on that day the stores close early, anywhere between 4-6. We look forward to seeing you there…with a carload of gifts to wrap!

Finally! Public restrooms at the Fairgrounds near the North gate! Also, the new event center for year round events! This is the sister building to the Sluicebox.

Our team of professionals worked fast and furious to get this permitted so Kuchar Construction could complete construction by the Fair. Finish line is almost here!

Alder Architecture & Design was so excited to assist with this project at Alaska State Fair!

We’re excited to announce a brand-new 8,300 sq. ft. multipurpose building near the Purple Gate! Featuring the highly anticipated restrooms on the Purple trail. Amenities include a family care room, private nursing space, adult changing room, refillable water station and a prep/warming area for events.

Built by local company Kuchar Construction, this year-round event center will be ready in time for the 2025 Fair, where it will replace the events tent. As a private nonprofit organization, the Alaska State Fair is proud to fund this project independently, with the generous and continued support of the Alaskan community. It’s thanks to Alaskans showing up year after year to enjoy the Fair and participate in our year-round events that we’re able to reinvest in capital improvement projects like this, elevating both the Fair experience and the community we serve throughout the year.
