We collaborated with Laporte City Specialty Care to develop a project for their resident activity day, capturing some truly priceless moments.

Our submission pieces for ARTapolooza in Cedar Falls are now ready. These pieces will undergo a jury review to determine if we meet the vendor requirements for their show, with a decision expected by the end of the month. The wall art pieces, which can also function as clocks, are notable. One features a hammered copper finish, while the other showcases a Labradorite-themed design with color-shifting properties. The larger piece, measuring 36 inches round, boasts a blue-purple Labradorite theme, whereas the 24-inch hammered copper piece provides a striking contrast.

I regret not posting the completed project from last week sooner. Due to a recent injury, I have been recuperating this week, but fortunately, it's just a minor finger injury and all is well.

Sneak peek update #2. The epoxy has just been poured, enabling it to self-level and cure. We're on track to finalize the assembly and present it in its entirety by next week.

This epoxy experiment we did a few years ago involved a collaborative effort across state lines, where I, based in Waterloo, Iowa, and Keith McGinnis from KCDC Designs in Eagle, Nebraska, created designs using the same colors, which a group of epoxy enthusiasts had randomly selected. There were many laughs along the way; bouncing ideas off each other is the best way to be creative, resulting in growth and mutual learning through thinking outside the box.

Well, here's what's been going on in the shop! It's not quite done yet but it's getting pretty close. A little more tweaking and touching up and I think I might just keep this one for myself. We got a ton of projects in the works.

Here's the first paint party of 2026. What a great turn out! We applied quite a bit of different techniques, materials , and even finger painted. These ladies were pretty creative adding a personal touch on their own piece!

We took a bold step and tried something new, hosting a trial finger painting party that had amazing results with each Highland cow artwork turning out uniquely awesome. We're excited to announce that mobile painting parties will be available soon. The girls' creativity shined through as they made each piece their own.
