Treasures A-Z Antiques & Appraisals has extended days, starting on Thursday, October 1 - Sunday, October 4...we have started arranging the shop, so stayed tuned for updates on all the goodies we have found this summer!!

Had a wonderful gold event sponsored by the Geneva Lake West Chamber of Commerce & the Walworth Fire and Rescue...we dodged a few raindrops but had a great time...sporting our new AZ Shirts, embroidered by Kanizzle!!!

Keeping our camping discussion in the vintage mode…I, personally have found memories of the little boxes of cereal. My childhood favorite was Frosted Flakes…”They’re great!” The bowls pictured were actual bowls my family used back in the 1960’s!! But, not for cereal…they came with perforated punch lines to allow you to add milk and eat right from the box! Sadly, the newer version doesn’t have that option. Other fun factoid…we would always come home with the Raisin Bran, no one wanted those…and that’s my choice today!🤪
Secondly…it’s critical to have a good cup of coffee when camping…now I understand why! To keep you awake during the day because you couldn’t sleep in the tent or pop up camper!!! We tried the old camp percolator…yuk!! Our son Andy rescued us with the more modern method…Aeorpress! OMG…so good!!
Well, we head home tomorrow…enjoyed every minute of this experience/experiment…except the sleeping or lack of…have to work on that!😆

Our camp set up in Door County…lovin’ the retro experience! It’s evoked lots of great memories of camping when we were kids…trying to continue the tradition! Would love to hear your favorite camping tradition…past or present!

So I teased about Steve and I doing something fun, besides hunting for antiques…we are heading to Door County Camping this weekend! We haven’t camped in a trailer since we were kids, so it will be a real adventure!

One of our all time favorite movies is Long, Long Trailer with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz and hopefully we won’t be living any of their misadventures!! We are towing a Shasta Airflyte, we named her Lucy…actually a remake of the 1960’s version.

I met a woman yesterday who volunteers for this wonderful organization…they have a 8000 square foot warehouse/shop filled with merchandise that helps their community get needed items. If you’re looking to donate to a worthy, local cause, here’s a great option!

This is an amazing property…big lot, wooded. You are in the country, yet close enough to everything you need! I was inside the house and the 3 season porch is amazing. I think it would be a perfect house to raise a family and even have a small hobby farm!

We just signed up for the Fall Version of Vintage Shop Hop! Mark your calendars for this coming October 1st-4th. We have extended hours so in addition to the event dates on Friday & Saturday 10/2 & 10/3 (9-5), we are also open on Thursday & Sunday 10-1 & 10/4 (9-3). Will be posting lots of photo shots on this page and the set up begins!
