We’ve gained over 1,000 followers in the past year, so we thought we’d better introduce ourselves!
We’re Rick and Holly, the owners of Barnwood Blooms & Brews, also known as Barnwood Farms ❤️. Some of you only know us wearing one of the Barnwood hats so hang on because we have a few !
I’ll start by saying that none of this was part of a grand plan. We both worked traditional 9 to 5 jobs all of our lives. But, 6 years ago, Rick bought the flower farm property because he wanted hunting land. I wanted a little flower garden.
That flower garden eventually became the area’s first U-Pick flower farm.
Then we started asking ourselves, “What if we tried this?”
So in the past five or so years, we added an event shelter, a gift/flower shop, a wedding venue, coffee, dirty sodas, Lotus drinks, and fresh cold-pressed juice.
Some ideas worked better than others 😆, but we’ve never been afraid to try something new.
If you asked us to describe Barnwood, we always say we are a place where people gather, make memories, and slow down for a little while. And don’t take life too seriously 😜
