Perched high above the city on the 50th floor, this intimate lounge was designed as a destination for connection, comfort, and conversation. Wrapped in rich chocolate velvet sofas and warm leather seating, the space invites residents to settle in for everything from book club nights to game-day gatherings — all while overlooking the Chicago skyline.

At Little Black House, we believe luxury multifamily amenities should feel layered, welcoming, and effortlessly elevated — creating moments residents actually want to come home to.

D I G I T A L. N O M A D S Gone are the days of working from a sad little desk in the corner.

Today? We’re answering emails from rooftop lounges, taking Zoom calls from clubrooms, brainstorming poolside, and pretending the coffee bar is our corporate headquarters. ☕💻🌴

Welcome to the era of the digital nomad… multifamily edition.

At Little Black House, we design spaces that work as hard as the people living in them — flexible lounges, cozy coworking nooks, hospitality-inspired clubrooms, and amenity spaces that make “WFH” feel a whole lot more luxurious.

Because let’s be honest… if you have to send emails, they might as well come with good lighting and beautiful furniture. 😉

A moment of arrival… through glass.

At our latest Chicago project, residents enter a series of four Work From Home Pods—intentionally designed as a quiet retreat within the building. Enclosed in glass, each pod offers privacy without isolation, creating a balance between focus and connection.

To warm the experience, we introduced a rich pop of color along the back wall—adding depth, contrast, and a sense of place. Layered with curated artwork and clean, functional furnishings, the space feels less like a shared office… and more like a boutique hotel workspace designed for modern living.

These are the details that resonate with today’s residents—and the moments that differentiate a property in a competitive market.

Design that performs. Design that elevates.

Chicago, reimagined.

This lobby was designed to feel less like an entry… and more like an arrival. A moment. A pause. A place that sets the tone before you even reach the elevator.

At Little Black House, we approach multifamily design through a hospitality lens—where every detail is intentional, every material is durable, and every space works as hard as it looks. Here, sculptural lounge seating, layered textures, and a refined palette create an elevated yet approachable environment that invites residents (and guests) to linger.

From the custom furniture layout to the curated styling moments, this space balances function, flow, and visual impact—delivering a boutique hotel experience within a residential setting.

Because today’s residents aren’t just looking for a place to live… they’re looking for a lifestyle.

For developers and operators, this is where design becomes an asset.

Designed for the way people actually work today.

This business center in downtown Chicago was reimagined with a hospitality-driven approach—blending the comfort of a boutique hotel lounge with the functionality of a high-performing workspace.

From integrated co-working tables to intimate lounge seating, every detail was considered to support focus, flexibility, and flow. Clean-lined millwork, layered lighting, and curated artwork create a space that feels intentional, elevated, and quietly luxurious.

Because in today’s multifamily environments, amenities aren’t just extras—they’re experiences.

And the right design doesn’t just fill a room… it adds value to the entire asset.

Where productivity meets polish.

This coworking + business center was designed as an extension of the modern resident lifestyle—blending boutique hotel energy with the functionality today’s renters expect. From intimate focus pods to collaborative lounge seating and private meeting rooms, every zone was intentionally layered to support how people actually work, meet, and recharge.

Warm wood tones, tailored upholstery, and curated moments of contrast create a space that feels elevated, not corporate—because in today’s multifamily market, amenity spaces aren’t extras… they’re differentiators.

For developers and property management teams, spaces like this drive leasing, retention, and overall asset value—turning square footage into experience.

Not your typical apartment clubhouse.

This Philadelphia amenity space was reimagined through a hospitality-driven lens—designed to elevate the resident experience while adding value to the asset.

From layered materials and custom seating moments to flexible layouts that transition from day to night, every detail was curated to support how residents actually live, work, and gather.

Because today’s multifamily amenities aren’t just spaces—they’re a competitive advantage.

Not your typical business center…

A little mood, a lot of intention.

This space was designed to flex—quiet focus, casual meetings, and everything in between. A tucked-away conference nook wrapped in plush velvet banquette seating creates an intimate moment for conversation, while the olive-toned table grounds the space with richness and depth.

Across the room, a dual workstation offers a seamless plug-and-play setup—perfect for quick emails or longer stretches of productivity.

And then… a moment of personality.
A playful art piece layered with rows of sunglasses adds just the right amount of attitude—because even workspaces deserve a sense of humor.

Work, meet, linger—this space does it all.

Reimagining what a “clubhouse” can be ✨

This small Maryland property gave us the opportunity to transform a once simple, underutilized space into something far more intentional—designed for the way people actually live and work today.

We introduced work-from-home pods, giving residents options:
banquette seating for casual work sessions, and custom privacy booths with integrated screens for when focus is key.

The space feels fresh, airy, and functional—layered with thoughtful details, including a custom-designed reception desk that brings a subtle hospitality moment into the experience.

Because even the smallest properties deserve spaces that feel elevated, purposeful, and beautifully designed.

Leasing, reimagined.

More boutique hotel than back office, this Chicago leasing space was designed to set the tone from the moment you walk in.

Supple leather seating, layered artwork, and sculptural greenery create a collected, residential feel—inviting, elevated, and quietly luxurious.

It’s a space that doesn’t just show the property… it becomes part of the experience.

Because first impressions should feel like arrival.
