It may take longer to crochet clothes for her now than it did was she was a preschooler, but at least I don't need to chase her down to constantly measure her or have her try things on! The downside is that now she can raid my closet...

It was nice to be able to work on this shrug while she was at school. Usually by the time she gets home, I'm too caught up in making dinner and finishing housework that there's not much time for crochet. Not to mention that trying to get a 12 year old to try on clothes can be an impossible task! Being able to try it on myself made it a much more pleasant process overall.

Not going to lie, I was pretty nervous about frogging this top, but the way it was fitting, I was never going to wear it 🤷‍♀️ And just because I no longer have a finished object, it doesn't mean that I didn't create one in the first place. The experience is still with me, even if the project isn't!
..and now I can crochet the wool into something I'll actually wear!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to fulfill a dream I didn't even know I had - to watch one of my favorite movies on the big screen! Even better, I got to enjoy a bowl of count chocula instead of popcorn 😂

I've loved Beetlejuice for as long as I can remember, so it makes sense that I'd have a few crochet projects on theme! My ouroboros sandworm wreath lives in my studio year round. Her foam core is a little worse for wear, but she's still holding on strong.

I also pulled out my Kaleidoscope Top (I can't help but to dress on theme for these kind of events!) I plan to deconstruct and frog a few rounds to adjust the size soon. Crochet pattern by 👉 Catalina | Crochet Designer

Ribblr is turning 6, so I couldn't help but dress my goose on theme for their monthly challenge! I remade my Porch Goose Party Costume pattern in purple for the occasion. I think it suits her!

When I'm overwhelmed or overstimulated, there's nothing I love more than curling up in a comfy spot with a WIP. Ignoring everything else and focusing on a crochet project is so soothing (and definitely better than doomscrolling!)

It's almost WIP Wednesday, so I'll ask now... what are you crocheting this week?

Where would our paths overlap?

In putting this together, I realized just how much time I spend outdoors when I'm not cleaning house or working in my studio. I had to sift through so many water/hiking pics before I could narrow it down to just two to share!

I'm almost amazed that I don't crochet in the wild more often, but after thinking about it, I'm sure it's because I would just like to focus on enjoying a single experience instead of combining too many of them. I'd be too likely to skip a stitch or miss out on outdoor fun if I were to try and do both more often!

You could also add volunteering for Girl Scouts, camping, grocery shopping, & appreciating all the lilac bushes in bloom in a 4 block radius of my house (I think I've found them all!)

So where would our paths be most likely to cross? Have they already?

These vintage inspired kitties are taking over my house! It's a good thing they seem to enjoy watching over my dining room 😸

I really love the effect of having two of them with the colors swapped; they're just a sweet little mismatched pair 🥰 and they've been the perfect addition to my handmade halloween decor collection!
