Yep, you read it correctly. After giving it much thought and prayer, I've decided to close my booth. I'm going to stay open through November 19th, and then I will bring it all home slowly. Everything will be marked down (soon) for the last few weeks. Thank you to everyone who supported me! It was fun!

Red, white, and blue... and the beach! My daughter helped me add some new items to the booth today. I had planned to hang a big American flag, too, but that proved to be too much for my brain to remember to bring along, lol. Maybe next time. 😀

This isn't a post about boasting or about making a name for yourself on earth. It's a post about taking the place God has planted you and doing your best to make it great for HIS honor. My grandfather, William "Shug"Kisner, dedicated much of his time, talent, blood, sweat, money, prayers, and tears to the town of Martinsburg, West Virginia... his town. Yesterday, the town of Martinsburg gave back to him by naming a bridge in his honor. The bridge is coincidentally located just beside his home and the ball field, where he spent so much time. Although I'm sure he'd be so very honored by this gesture, the thing is, he didn't do all that for his name to be recognized... he did it for God and for the good of the people of his town. So, as proud as I am to have called him my grandfather and to see his name on that street sign, this is a post about doing your best where you're planted and honoring Christ... and I pray I carry on that "Kisner" trait!

Spring is here, and if you're like me, you love something beautiful to put your freshly cut or potted flowers in. We have a few jewel-toned potters in the booth that would bring an added pop of color to any room. The green is my personal favorite!

is a small wooden cottage
filled with snuggly nooks
a tablecloth your grandma sewed
dusty, well-loved books.

quilts on a canopy bed
an arch of blooming roses

is charming, old-fashioned
an echo of days gone by.
Modern life is convenient
