It’s been 4 years since losing our darling daughter, Izzy.
4 years…is truly an unfathomable amount of time.
-4 years since I saw her beautiful smile
-4 year since I held her close
-4 years since I heard her laugh
-4 years since I wiped away her tears, listened to her dreams, watched her create beautiful pieces of art, heard her practicing flips on the trampoline
-4 years since I went to bed after hearing “I love y’all”
4 years…is an unfathomable amount of time

We lost our sweet girl on a Thursday evening in a tragic accident. I don’t really know we got here. I have replayed that day over and over in my head willing, pleading for it to be different. Praying it was just an awful dream…
But here we are 4 years later…
I’m not too sure how to explain how I feel…words escape me…honestly, I don’t know if there are words for this kind of pain, this longing, this ache.
4 years.
But God…
I do know as hard as today is…God will carry me through. He has been so faithful, so near to my pain, my steady strong tower to seek refuge in.
-He will be with me as I see the clock and remember exactly what happened this day 4 years ago
-He will show his mercy and love by giving me my husband’s hand to hold as we continue to endure the loss of our girl together
-And I know without a doubt He will surprise me with reminders that He is near and He has my girl.
So, as I wake to this awful day…my only job…is to “Must Trust”💛 for the same God who is holding me…is holding my Izzy.
