I think today might have been our favorite clothing swap yet.
We’ve always loved these events and everything they stand for… sustainability, shopping small, giving really good clothes another life, getting women in the same room. But if we’re being real, they’ve also historically been a little chaotic.. Loud, busy, lots of people moving in a million directions… and sometimes we’ve left wondering if we really got the connection part right.
Today felt 1000% different.
We limited the number of tickets this time and really hoped for a slower, sweeter day where people could actually hang out, talk, shop, meet someone new and leave feeling a little more filled up than when they came and tthat is exactly what happened!!!
There were conversations happening in every little corner, women helping each other find things, small businesses being supported, lots of laughing and just… people actually getting to be together. It felt like so much more than swapping clothes.
And that’s trulyyyyy always been the heart behind Sustainable Soul. Yes, we do hair. Yes, we love sustainability and shopping small and all the fun little things that come with this space. But more than anything, we’ve always wanted this to be a place where people feel connected. Where you can walk in and feel like you belong here.
Today just felt like such a sweet version of that.
Slower. Sweeter. More intentional. More room to actually talk and connect and just be together.
We have a million pictures to share, but for now we’re just really grateful for every single person who keeps showing up and making this little community what it is.
We just found our new favorite way to do these. 🤎
