The end of year chaos is real - teacher gifts, spirit days, concerts, fall sport registration - alllll the things! May always feels 37 months long yet flies by in 3 seconds and this year is no different.

And while I’m looking forward to slower mornings, pool days and making summer memories with my kids, I’m also soaking in these last few quiet-ish days of freedom before I’m overstimulated 24/7. Oh and also crossing off 800 to-do list items before the last day of school. 🤞🏼 ✅

The year was 2016 and I was a busy working mom of 2. I’d taken 20 weeks of maternity leave so had only been back to work for a couple months at the start of 2016. I’d also just turned 30 and celebrated with family and friends so my heart was full.

Lots of overnight wake ups, early mornings, mom guilt and fulfillment at work. We had a great year in 2016 and found our groove as a family of 4. ❤️
