The Texas heat didn’t stop us from cooking on the farm! ☀️🍅🫐

A huge thank you to Specklebelly Farm for welcoming us and sharing your fresh fruits and vegetables with our young chefs. We learned about different tomato varieties, learned that lemons in Texas don’t turn yellow until the fall, and practiced picking the best berries straight from the field.

We enjoyed local honey from the farm, harvested fresh mint for our agua fresca, and spent the afternoon learning, tasting, and exploring where our food comes from.

Thank you to all of our amazing helpers who kept our cooks on task and made the class run smoothly. We had so much fun and can’t wait for the next Farm to Table adventure!

Also, it's not to late to join our newsletter to be in the know of upcoming classes. We have our Little Spoonfuls class (3-5 year old) this Thursday at the Weimar Public Library.

We got extra messy today! Thank you to everyone who joined class. The summer salad and sweet treat were a hit (for most 😉).

Our classes aren't just about trying new foods. They're about learning through hands-on experiences—exploring ingredients, textures, and cooking techniques while building confidence.

Food exploration doesn't have to start with eating. It starts with curiosity, and curiosity often leads to trying something new.
