I’ve missed you all! It’s time for a long-overdue update. ❤️
If I’ve been a little quiet lately, it’s because I’ve been busy living a lot of life. After much reflection, I decided to close the brick-and-mortar store a couple years ago. I love our town of Weiser, but the numbers didn't justify the cost of a physical shop. Instead, I am returning to my roots: the online world where this all started! 💻✨
This shift allows me to pour my energy into my true passion—finding unique pieces and connecting with all of you—without the stress of daily storefront operations.
At home, things look a lot different! We’ve seen two kids graduate and move out, leaving us with our youngest two (15 and 16). We are soaking up every second before we become official empty nesters. Plus, the family is growing in the best ways: we have a granddaughter arriving next month and a wedding this September! 💍
A New Chapter, A New Name: With all these life changes, it felt like the right time for a rebrand. I am officially transitioning from Funkyhouse Vintage to dysFUNKtional. The old name was tied to my previous married name, and as I rebuild my business and myself, I wanted a name that feels authentic to who I am today.
I can’t wait to share more with you—not just the antiques, but the "behind the scenes" of the bunny rescue, the reality of raising teenagers, and the joy of small-town life.
