“It costs that much because it takes me effing hours” 😂🤍

And honestly... it’s true.

What you’re seeing in this reel is only a tiny glimpse of the pottery process.

Before a finished piece ever leaves my studio, there’s measuring clay, weighing clay, throwing, trimming, drying, sculpting, glazing, loading kilns, unloading kilns, sanding, photographing, packaging, and about a hundred little decisions in between.

Whether it’s a rogue duck, a custom order, or a functional ceramic piece, every item is made by hand from start to finish in my pottery studio.

When you support handmade pottery, you’re not just buying an object. You’re supporting years of learning, countless hours of practice, creative problem-solving, and a real person behind the work.

So thank you to everyone who chooses handmade ceramics over mass-produced alternatives. It means more than you know 🤍

Lately in the studio 🤍

The past few weeks have been filled with custom orders, glaze sessions, rogue ducks of all sizes, and bringing ideas to life one piece at a time.

From a set of 13 handmade marble sipping cups to custom ceramic ducks finding their personalities, I’ve been spending a lot of my studio time creating pieces that are made specifically for the people who ordered them. There is something incredibly special about knowing exactly where a piece is headed while you’re making it.

If you’ve noticed things have been a little quieter around here lately, you’re not imagining it.

Outside of the pottery studio, my husband and I are currently walking through IVF. Between appointments, medications, and navigating a season that requires a little more energy and attention, I’ve been giving myself permission to slow down when I need to.

The studio may be moving at a gentler pace right now, but the creativity is still here. The clay is still spinning. The ducks are still multiplying. And I’m grateful for every custom order, kind message, and person following along through all of it.

Thank you for being here 🤍

Best of the month: rogue ducks edition 🪿🤍

Over the past month, my pottery studio has slowly filled with rogue ducks of all shapes, sizes, colors, and personalities and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What started as a playful ceramic sculpture idea has become one of the most loved parts of my work.

Rogue ducks are my reminder that not everything in life needs to be perfectly polished or “in a row.” They’re whimsical, slightly chaotic, full of personality, and intentionally imperfect, which feels a little relatable these days.

Each handmade ceramic duck is sculpted, glazed, and finished by hand, making every single one completely unique.

Some are tiny.
Some are oversized.
Some look sweet.
Some definitely look like they have opinions.

And that’s exactly the point 🤍

For the people who love:
✨ whimsical art
✨ dopamine decor
✨ quirky home decor
✨ animal-inspired ceramics
✨ handmade statement pieces

thank you for loving these little rogue ducks as much as I do.

This is the moment the rogue ducks start getting personalities 🪿🤍

What begins as a simple piece of clay slowly turns into something expressive, playful, and just a little chaotic which honestly feels very on brand for these ducks at this point.

I love adding these sculpted details because they bring so much character to each handmade ceramic piece. No two are ever exactly alike, and that’s part of the magic.

These rogue ducks were originally created as a reminder that not everything in life needs to be perfectly polished or “in a row.”

Sometimes art is allowed to be whimsical.
Sometimes homes deserve a little weirdness.
Sometimes joy looks like a giant ceramic duck with attitude.

Handmade slowly in my pottery studio from start to finish 🤍

Why I keep making rogue ducks 🪿🤍

Because not everything in life needs to be perfectly polished, serious, or “in a row.”

These handmade ceramic ducks started as a playful idea in my pottery studio, but somewhere along the way they became a reminder that imperfection, whimsy, and joy deserve space in our homes too.

I think we spend so much time trying to organize ourselves into neat little boxes that we forget how important it is to create things simply because they make us smile.

So I keep making rogue ducks.

For the people who love:
✨ whimsical art
✨ dopamine decor
✨ quirky home decor
✨ handmade ceramics
✨ playful little reminders not to take life too seriously

Every duck is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand in my pottery studio, each one slightly different, each one with its own personality.

And honestly? I hope they remind people that you don’t need all your ducks in a row to create a beautiful life 🤍

From a ball of clay to a supersized rogue duck 🪿🤍

This piece started as a lump of clay in my pottery studio and slowly transformed into one of my favorite whimsical ceramic sculptures to date.

I created these rogue ducks as a reminder that not all your ducks need to be in a row, sometimes the joy is in embracing the playful, imperfect, slightly chaotic parts of life.

For the people who love:

✨ whimsical art
✨ dopamine decor
✨ quirky home decor
✨ animal-inspired ceramics
✨ handmade statement pieces

this one was made for you.

Handmade slowly from start to finish, this oversized ceramic duck is equal parts playful sculpture, conversation piece, and tiny rebellion against taking life too seriously.

Because honestly? Homes should feel fun too 🤍
