☀️UPDATE☀️

Sorry everyone I thought I hit post 😂 but it went in drafts! Starting to clean the new location and get everything set up for opening soon. The official date will be posted soon. But sneak peak updates will happen throughout the process 🥰 Thank you to everyone who has believed in me and in the dream being built for everyone. So much has been faced along the way and it has meant so much that you all have been able to rely on who you know me to be and what the store represents that none of the craziness along the way stopped us or defined us. I am so thankful for you all who have had my back through everything. And because you and I both never lost faith in the purpose, so many new blessings for Inner Beginnings and the community as a whole are coming soon. I care for you all.

And remember, NEVER DIM YOUR LIGHT FOR OTHERS, AND KEEP SHINING BRIGHT FOR ALL TO SEE!☀️

🤍 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO RIVER! 🤍

Today I want to take a moment to celebrate River, not only as my child, but as such an important part of the heart, creation, and foundation of Inner Beginnings.

Inner Beginnings began as a mother-daughter journey, and no matter how much we grow, that will always be the foundation of who we are. From the very beginning, River has had their hands and their heart in what we were building. They have helped make soaps, bracelets, artwork, and so many of the creations that have made their way into the hands and homes of our community. But their role has always been bigger than simply helping make things. River has hosted art classes for other children, creating a space where kids can be creative, express themselves, make friends, and find a little community among their peers. They have shared their creativity, their ideas, their HUGE personality, and most importantly, their incredibly kind heart with Inner Beginnings from the start. So many of the foundational blocks that eventually became the store we have today were laid with River right beside me.When people see Inner Beginnings, they may see a business or a storefront. But I see the years of dreaming, creating, learning, struggling, growing, and building that happened behind it and through so much of that, there was a mother and child figuring it out together.

River, I hope as you grow up, you always know that you helped build this. Your creativity mattered. Your ideas mattered. Your work mattered. Your heart mattered. And there are pieces of you woven throughout the story of Inner Beginnings that will always be there. More than anything, though, I am endlessly grateful that I get to be your mom.

Thank you for your kind heart, your creativity, your willingness to help others, and that BIG personality that makes you so completely and wonderfully you. You are the best child/ person a mother could ever ask for, and I couldn’t be prouder of the person you’re becoming.

Happy Birthday, River! 🎂✨

Today’s topic… truth telling.

People say they love truth tellers. They say they want authentic people. Real people. People who don’t sugarcoat things, play games, or pretend.

They admire the person who speaks up when everyone else stays quiet. Until the truth teller starts telling the truth about them.
Then suddenly, honesty becomes “disrespect.”
Authenticity becomes “drama.”
Boundaries become “attitude.”
Speaking up becomes “causing problems.”
And the truth teller becomes the villain.

Because loving honesty is easy when the truth confirms what you already believe about yourself. The real test is what you do when the truth makes you uncomfortable. Can you sit with it? Can you ask yourself if there’s something you need to own? Can you separate “this hurt my feelings” from “this person is wrong for saying it”? A truth teller isn’t always going to tell you what feels good. That’s kind of the point.

And no, being truthful doesn’t mean being cruel. Honesty without compassion can become a weapon. But compassion without honesty can become enabling. I would rather have people in my life who are willing to respectfully tell me when I’m wrong than people who smile in my face while quietly agreeing with everything I do. Because authenticity isn’t just being unapologetically yourself. It’s also being willing to look at yourself when someone holds up a mirror.

Everyone loves the mirror, until they don’t like the reflection.

Mental and spiritual bit for the day…
Protect your peace. Even if it upsets others along the way. Even if it means you can help everyone in that moment. Not everyone is meant to be in our lives even if we wish it. Always align with what doesn’t bring you stress most often. It’s ok to heal, breathe, and choose you. Choosing you means you will be more able to choose others and help after you start building you. Know that even if you did everything the way others wanted or preferred , you would still upset someone. So do what is for you with your life and the right ones will stay and remember… it’s never too late to change your path.

There are moments in life when you have to stop and look around not because everything has been easy, but because you finally realize just how far you’ve come. This new location means so much more to me than simply having a place to sell products. It represents everything we’ve overcome to get here.

Inner Beginnings started with an idea, a dream, and a whole lot of faith. Along the way, there have been setbacks, disappointments, hard lessons, closed doors, and moments when I genuinely wondered if what I was trying to build was even possible. But we kept going.

We learned. We grew. We changed direction when we needed to. And most importantly, we never lost sight of why we started. I didn’t build Inner Beginnings just to create products. I wanted to create a space where people feel welcome. A space centered around self-love, wellness, creativity, community, and the belief that sometimes the biggest transformation begins within ourselves. And now, we are building that vision in a new place. Bigger then before and with a bigger community. This location is a new chapter not because the chapters before it didn’t matter, but because every single one of them brought us here.

I want to say these key points…
1. I’m proud of what we’ve survived.
2. I’m proud of what we’ve learned.
3. I’m proud of how much we’ve grown.
4. And I’m incredibly grateful for the people who have continued to believe in this vision.
This isn’t just a new location. It’s a new beginning.

And just like our name says…
Everything starts within.

Here’s to building something meaningful, creating community, and becoming everything we were meant to become one beginning at a time.

One of the greatest forms of growth is learning to own your mistakes without letting them define you.

I’ve made choices I wish I could take back. I’ve said things throughout my life, I shouldn’t have, trusted the wrong people, ignored my intuition, and learned lessons the hard way. I don’t hide from those parts of my story anymore. I accept them, I learn from them, and I keep moving forward.

The difference between who I was and who I am isn’t that I’ve never been wrong, it’s that I’m willing to face my wrongs, take responsibility, and become someone better because of them.

I’ve realized something else too. The chapters of my past that some people choose to gossip about are the very chapters that built my strength. What may be entertainment for someone else is testimony for me. Every scar has taught me something. Every failure has refined me. Every setback has brought me closer to the person I’m meant to become.

So if people want to talk, let them.

I’ll keep growing.
I’ll keep healing.
I’ll keep choosing accountability over excuses and wisdom over shame.

Your past doesn’t lose its power because people stop talking about it. It loses its power when you stop letting it define you and start letting it teach you.

Growth begins the moment we stop defending our past and start learning from it.🤍
