Final product of the board I posted last time completely finished. Does anyone know what wood this piece is?
One of a kind end grain board finished with custom hand hold cutouts, laser engraving and some small rubber feet added to the bottom.

Does anyone else just love the sapwood present in a lot of walnut? I love the contrast you can get in just one wood trip type and I love turning these boards into end grain to see how it looks then. This board is on its way to bein becoming an end grain with a maple border.

It’s hard to get placement just right for transitions so props to those who can do it well! 😅

I know exactly what I’m doing and what causes this every time. And yet, it doesn’t stop me from doing it 💁‍♂️🤣

Sometimes it’s not the most fun work or working with the prettiest woods, but I can still put these tools to use stewing necessary things. I just needed these two by fours to be a little less thick than they were so my DeWalt planer to the rescue!
