STUDIO JULIANO & GALERIE SAVANNAH BLUE were established in 1987, on South McDill Avenue, in Tampa, Florida’s Palma Ceia district. The gallery effectively opened the door to Haitian and Caribbean Art in the greater Tampa Bay area.
Now we are a virtual gallery, and enjoying the green rolling hills of historic Chester County, Pennsylvania. GalerieSavnnahBlue on Etsy offers Antique and Vintage Jewelry. CulturalAffaires (also on Etsy) offers Silk Screens of Martin Rosenthal, Lithographs of Jack Bookbinder, as well as Pochoirs from the 1920's and 1930’s, plus other eclectic art works.
For many years prior, I was Director of A.H.Riise, and Mapes Monde Galleries in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. I traveled throughout the Caribbean to purchase art for these galleries, our
shows and exhibitions. Haiti's pure and joyful art was the primary focus. And so, this journey began … A journey into the magical realm of Haitian arts and Haitian artists.
Previously, in 1965, I opened the first antiques and craft market in Philadelphia's historic Old City. The Artifact was on Bank Street, in a 19th century four-story warehouse, with 40 antiques dealers and craftspeople. I have continued my involvement with Art, Antiques and Crafts since that time.
Throughout, I've enjoyed linking my skills as an Interior & Commercial Designer, Food Stylist, Visual Merchandiser, and Graphic Designer.
I have been the proud recipient of several American Advertising Federation Awards, in Florida and the Caribbean, for: Best Packaging; Best Poster (Daum Cristal); Voice; Direction and
Design… in The 1986 ADDY Awards, American Advertising Federation (AFF) for Florida and The Caribbean (4th District), Virgin Islands Advertising Federation. As Creative/Project Director (design, layout, and copy) for A.H.Riise Gift Shops, St. Thomas, my awards included: BEST IN SHOW; BEST POSTER (Daum Crystal “Sailboats”), China & Crystal Department; BEST
PACKAGING, Specialty Advertising; Gallery Show Announcement.
