It takes a lot of focus and dedication to make sure the details don’t get overlooked when designing a home. It also takes a strong design & construction team with a passion for designing homes with character, who have the technical skills to put all of the elements together. We feel really lucky to have a team like that - from our designers who draw up the plans and document the selections to the talented build teams we work with who make sure everything gets installed perfectly. We all work together to make sure every detail is considered, from the earliest planning stages to the final hardware placement. In the end, our goal is always the same: to create detailed, personal spaces for our clients that are full of character and bring comfort and joy.

A portion of our remodel reimagined our clients’ living room. We refined all of the home’s architectural elements to give it a more classic feel, updated the fireplace to be more proportional to the space, changed out the window configuration, and layered in our client’s favorite soft colors. And just like any good marriage, we balanced a love for traditional design with a more modern aesthetic for the perfect welcoming blend.⁠

Our clients loved their book collection, and keeping / updating these existing bookcases that served as a media cabinet in their living room became possible when we transformed the function of their formal dining room into a library/lounge space. ⁠

We still love the soft modern style of our project. This 20-year-old home had so much beautiful natural light, but dark cabinets, dated finishes and a poor kitchen layout left it feeling dark and cramped. Soft white cabinets in a new layout, birch floors in a lighter finish, and a warmer wall color, gave this kitchen a whole new life. Swipe all the way through to see the before photos.

This home is a great reminder that you can create your dream home right where you are. It just takes a little vision and the right team to see the potential and make it happen. We feel really grateful to have a talented team of builders and makers who partner with us to create spaces like this.

A primary bed and bath with a color palette that reminds us of soft clouds and a winding creek through a forest. For us, the design of this bedroom from our project was all about connecting the space to the forested views outside the windows, to create a peaceful oasis.

With cozy season upon us, we’re spending a lot more time cuddled up in our living rooms. Over the next few months, our living spaces will be filled with friends and family, decorations and celebrations, and good food and drinks. They are the settings for so many special memories.

To celebrate these hard-working spaces, we thought it would be fun to do a little review of the living rooms we’ve designed over the last few years. Each one is as unique as the people who occupy them, and we love that!
