Whether you know me for my Floral artistry, my Original Watercolor & Illustration Art + Meditation Kits, my handmade Flora & Fauna Botanical Curiosities, or my love for curating Vintage treasures, each of my crafts has deep meaning to me. As I evolve as an Artist & business owner, I am beginning to acknowledge that having a range of mediums is sort of a superpower. For years I felt almost embarrassed by how many different things I did and made. Well-intended folks advised (even encouraged) me to “just pick one”, or that it was “confusing” and “overwhelming” that I did so many things under the same umbrella. I realize now that none of that is true. It’s just who I am as a creative moving through this world & what makes me and Halcyon Heroine so unique. I’m learning to feel proud of that instead of insecure (baby steps)

As I move into this new season as an Artist, I’m excited to begin offering my Art as a form of Floral Preservation to all of my Floral Design clients! Whether we dry some of your blooms to use in a custom Flora & Fauna cloche, or press a few special flowers to incorporate into an original Watercolor mixed media piece, or perhaps capture the flowers I used in your designs in a custom hand-illustration + painting instead (a perfect option if I’ve already flowered for you in the past!) There are so many ways I can lean into the things I love to do to continue creating meaningful Art for folks beyond their celebrations

Even if you have dried or pressed flowers you’ve been holding onto from a special memory, I can work with those too! The first piece featured here includes some flowers that the bride saved + dried from a very important day spent with her Mom & it was a true honor to be able to include them in this centerpiece, now a treasured item in her home

Join me for my first Watercolor Workshop in CT! Friday 8/14 located in New Haven, I'll be hosting a beginner-friendly workshop guiding you in foundational watercolor techniques to create a beautiful botanical painting inspired by some of my favorite Summer blooms.

We’ll explore a mix of wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and texture techniques and all supplies will be provided, including brushes and a custom watercolor palette made with hand-crafted, earth + mineral-based pigments from Redbud Pigment Co. LLC

You’ll be invited to bring your palette home so that you can continue painting long after the workshop! No experience is necessary, but if you’re already a watercolor painter, you’re welcome to bring your favorite brushes as well

Our composition features Dahlias + Cornflower and Fairy Meadow will have fresh local flowers to provide us with some inspiration!. You’ll leave with your finished painting, your custom palette, and the confidence to keep exploring watercolor at home ✨

I love this bouquet. And also photo carousels with different perspectives of the same theme. And roselilies. And botanically-dyed ribbon flowing in a breeze. And vining greens. And chaos gardens. And moody burgundy reds in the Summer. And true love.

Spring flowers are such an absolute dream. Multiple varieties of textural Tulips, Narcissus, & Ranunculus, moody Hellebore, heirloom Pansies, dreamy Poppies, Fritillaria, Blossoming Branches + a range of other lush foliages, and so much more - the ingredients are wide-ranging and truly breath-taking.

Every ingredient you see here was sourced and grown LOCALLY here in the northeast!Aside from the fruit and the almond (green fuzzy cuties that I just couldn’t resist) which came from Cali, everything I used in these designs was grown in CT or MA in late April. I can’t emphasize enough that *THIS* is why seasonal flowers are the way to go✨

I already have a few weddings on the books for next Spring but if you’re a couple getting married in April/May of 2027, I would love to explore what seasonal flowers can bring to your celebration! From Dutch Masters vibes to sweet delicate details, Spring blooms have something to add to every story✨

These pieces were all made sustainably and foam-free (as always) for the “Savor The Story” fundraising gala last week. It’s always such a joy to work in this beautiful space alongside the amazing team✨

K&T’s February wedding at The Vanderbilt, Auberge Collection is a study in how the details set the entire tone. It’s easy to imagine that a vibe is set by the stage alone. And trust me, The Vanderbilt is a truly incredible setting to host a wedding in (iykyk!) It is impactful and moving all on its own - no notes.

But a wedding is defined by much more than the setting itself. The reality is that the venue is just one of the countless thoughtful and intentional details that when compounded with a multitude of others, form a truly unforgettable experience.

When K first contacted me, she assigned a name to her theme that struck a chord with me: “The 5 Senses”. She wanted their wedding to simultaneously seep into and also envelop every person there so that they were filled with the same delight and adoration she felt for T ❤️

I took this assignment to heart and tried to meet her there with whimsical flowers, lush and sculptural fruit, and dancing candlelight. Then K showed up with her *stunning* asymmetrical ch*****ne gown, timeless gloves (I’m beyond obsessed), and pearl-trimmed shoes that quietly echoed the button detail on the back of her dress. All of this while the Paper Moon Jazz Band transformed the ambient, romantic lounge into a Parisian-meets-New Orleansian street party that filled the soul. Oh and you cannot miss dress #2 (scroll through…✨)

35 guests. No detail left out. The coziest and most sensual vibes. And nothing but pure joy and love. Proof that your wedding can *and should* be whatever *you* want it to be and be absolutely unforgettable in every way✨✨✨

Endlessly grateful to this beyond cool couple for trusting me to be a part of this amazing celebration. And so grateful to do it alongside these talented folks:

Happy Anniversary T&J!

1 year ago this weekend I delighted in flowering this romantic & thoughtful Brooklyn wedding with bold seasonal colors, sculptural Dutch-masters-inspired moments, and sweet nods to T’s pacific-northwest roots✨

As an added bonus, the bride and I once worked together flowering for other folks’ weddings, so that made creating the florals for her special day all the more magical for me❤️❤️❤️
