Untamed artistry, translated to the wall.

Originally hand-painted at full scale for ’s SS26 runway, Ambiguous Tiger from x Harris Reed captures the energy of layered brushwork—bold, expressive, and in constant motion. Preserved on gilded paper and finished by hand, the design retains every gesture of the original artwork.

In its most tactile expression, the pattern emerges as cut velvet, where ombré-brushed grounds, gilded accents, and sculpted pile bring extraordinary depth to the surface.

A butterfly made of steel. Rather an unlikely combination, don’t you think?

And yet, that was precisely the idea behind Papillon.

I’ve always been fascinated by the shapes found in nature, particularly the delicate, almost effortless geometry of a butterfly’s wings. Translating that into metal presented a rather interesting challenge.

In our Wiltshire workshop, those first sketches became a remarkable exercise in craftsmanship. Steel was cut, shaped, welded, and painstakingly finished by hand until something inherently rigid began to look wonderfully light and organic.

Papillon, French for butterfly, is a lovely example of what happens when nature meets the workshop.

Metal has a mind of its own. I’ve spent over 30 years trying to persuade it otherwise.

Tom here, taking you inside our workshop for another chapter of our TL takeover.

What begins as a few lines on paper eventually finds its way into the hands of our extraordinarily skilled craftspeople.

Cutting, shaping, welding, grinding, polishing. Each stage demands a different kind of patience, precision, and understanding of the material.

I’ve always loved the contradiction of working with metal. It’s strong, stubborn, and industrial, yet in the right hands it can become something wonderfully fluid, graceful, and almost weightless.

And after all these years, I still find it fascinating to watch our team turn an ambitious idea into something real.

As a designer, you notice everything around you. Keeping your eyes always open and observing begins the inspiration.

A walk through a garden, a visit to a gallery, the outline of a building against the sky. I’m forever noticing shapes, studying proportions, and wondering how an interesting detail might translate into a piece of furniture.

Sculpture, architecture, nature, and art have all found their way into my work over the years. Sometimes the connection is obvious. More often, it’s something quite subtle that catches my eye and stays with me.

I particularly love that moment when an idea begins to take shape on paper. A few lines in a sketchbook can be the beginning of something that eventually finds its way into someone’s home.

Welcome to the world of

I’ve always been fascinated by what you can persuade metal to do. How something so strong and industrial can become fluid, sculptural, even rather delicate. It’s a fascination that’s kept me experimenting for more than 30 years.

Today, I’m inviting you behind the finished furniture and into the world of Tom Faulkner. The workshops, the skilled hands, the experiments, and the occasional happy accident that makes the whole process so rewarding.

I’m delighted to have you along, and grateful to Thomas for letting us share a little of our world with his.

HAPPENING TODAY | We’re handing the keys over to a certain gentleman from across the pond.

British furniture designer is taking over our IG and we suggest you tune in throughout the day.

Tom has made a career out of giving metal an entirely different personality. Sculptural silhouettes, extraordinary craftsmanship, and a rather British way of making even the boldest forms look effortlessly elegant.

Today, he will give a closer look into his brand, the process and the art of the craft.

Geometry, elevated to sculpture.

AVA from Tom Faulkner is defined by a bold architectural base, where two interlocking tetrahedrons create a composition that feels both balanced and unexpected. Topped in marble or glass, its clean lines and sculptural presence make it the quiet focal point of any dining space.

Designed with craftsmanship at its core and offering extensive bespoke possibilities, AVA is a study in precision, proportion, and timeless modernity.

Visit Casa Alma - The Latest Collection by

At its core, this collection is about barefoot luxury—a celebration of relaxed living, effortless elegance, and a deep connection to nature. Soft neutrals are layered with shades of blue, olive green, warm browns, and ochre, while plush rugs, tactile bouclés, richly textured textiles, and wallcoverings bring warmth and depth.

Photographed in Comporta, Portugal, the collection reflects the natural ease of its surroundings, from weathered olive trees and sandy paths to the soft coastal light.

We are a leading platform for independent makers. Discovering artisans on the rise and offering their works to our design community is an honor.

We’ve spent years traveling, meeting artists, visiting workshops, and seeking out the people who make extraordinary things. And we’ve brought their work together under one roof, or rather, two.

You might come in looking for a sofa. An hour later, you’re considering a textile woven halfway around the world, a chair whose maker has spent decades perfecting its proportions, or a wallcovering that has you reconsidering an entire room.

And…stayed for lunch with the team or had some bubbles as you and TL were in convo.

It’s all about the experience….
