Kids’ room organization isn’t just about making a room look neat. It’s about creating a space that works for your child and gives them room to play, imagine, and grow.

In this video, I’m back with one of my youngest clients to declutter and organize her bedroom. We worked together about six months ago, but as kids grow, new toys, books, clothes, and treasures come into their lives, and sometimes the organizing systems that worked before simply stop working.

As we go through her room together, we discover that the problem isn’t necessarily that she isn’t following the “rules.” Her bookshelf is too full, her laundry hamper is overflowing, and some of her newer toys don’t have a designated home.

So instead of simply cleaning up, we declutter, donate what she’s ready to let go of, group similar items together, and create simple organizing systems that are easier for her to maintain.

And most importantly, we make room for what matters to her: access to her dress-up clothes, space to play, and a very exciting Barbie Dreamhouse!

I also share some of my favorite tips for organizing with children, including using simple labels, clear bins for younger children, and knowing when it’s time to stop before decision fatigue sets in.

Because organizing isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating a space that supports the way you want to live.

For adults, that might mean making room to work, cook, create, or relax. For kids, it means making room for imagination and play.

Three quick tips to spruce up your kitchen!
