What a weekend.๐Ÿ’›

Between the farm stand and the Mosey, we sold out of flowers again, and I'm ending the weekend feeling incredibly grateful.

This week alone, eight buckets of flowers headed out to weddings and graduation parties, along with bouquets for homes, gifts, gatherings, and celebrations throughout the community. ๐ŸŒธ

One of my favorite things about flower farming is knowing these flowers become part of people's special days and happy memories.

Thank you to everyone who visited the stand, stopped by at the Mosey, ordered flowers, shared a post, or continues to support locally grown flowers in West Lafayette. ๐ŸŒฑ

More lilies are opening, the sunflowers are growing, and summer flowers are on the way.

Thank you for making this another wonderful weekend.๐ŸŒท

Tomorrow's flowers are looking beautiful. ๐ŸŒธ

This week's bouquets are filled with large pink lilies, colorful snapdragons, and other fresh flowers harvested from the farm.

Most of the lilies are buds which wrap and transport easily and you're going to get quite a show as they open tomorrow and through the week.

The flower field is shifting into summer and these bouquets feel like the first real taste of the season. ๐Ÿ’›

Whether you're celebrating something special, visiting friends, hosting guests, or simply want flowers on your table, I'd love to share these with you.

The lilies have arrived. ๐ŸŒธ

Two years ago I purchased a crate of 400 lilies - far more than I thought I could use. I experimented with a bunch of things, most of which failed. But I discovered that lilies for cut flowers love growing in the ground, in their natural season, just like garden lilies. I made sure to put every viable bulb left after my experiments straight in the ground to grow this year. They bloom at a perfect time - after the peonies and before the sunflowers, zinnias, and dahlias.

This year I purchased a second crate of 400, making an educated guess on a different beautiful variety that would bloom just a little later.

Now they are finally here, and they'll be featured in this weekend's bouquets alongside colorful snapdragons and other locally grown flowers from the farm here in West Lafayette.

These bouquets feel like the beginning of
summer -- Bright, joyful and full of life. ๐Ÿ’›

You'll find me at the Mosey this week and at the farm stand with wrapped bouquets on Saturday, sharing flowers with the community I love.

While this week's bouquets are growing, I'm already working on flowers for August and September. ๐ŸŒฑ

This week has been all about turning beds over from spring to summer, and taking down the weeds brought on by all the rain.

We've been adding compost, loosening the soil, and getting the next season of flowers settled in so they can put down strong roots and thrive through the summer and fall.

It's a lot of work, but it's a rewarding part of flower farming. Every bed is a promise that there will be more beauty to come.

Meanwhile, the first lilies are opening, the snapdragons are producing beautifully, and this weekend's bouquets are shaping up to be something special ๐ŸŒธ

Another sell-out weekend. ๐Ÿ’›

Every weekend I think, "Surely things will slow down a little."

And every week, this community surprises me.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the farm stand, brought flowers home, shared a post, told a friend, or chose locally grown flowers for a special occasion. It means so much to me to see these flowers become part of your homes, celebrations, and everyday moments.

One of my favorite things about flower farming is that while one season is peaking, another is already on its way.

The ranunculus have been incredible this year, but now I'm starting to harvest the first puffy pink lily buds. The sunflower plants are growing taller, and the lisianthus are putting on size in the field. ๐ŸŒฑ

Soon the bouquets will begin to change again -- new colors, new textures, and a whole new chapter of summer flowers.

For now, I'm feeling grateful, encouraged, and excited for what's ahead.

Thank you for helping this little farm grow. I can't wait to keep bringing beauty, joy and locally ground flowers to West Lafayette all summer long. ๐ŸŒธ

One of the funny things about flower farming is that while I'm harvesting this week's bouquets, I'm already planting flowers for August and September ๐ŸŒฑ

This week felt like a milestone. The last of my early summer seedlings finally made it into the field and I got our family vegetable garden finished before we headed off to camp for a couple days.

I just couldn't leave them sitting in trays another week when there was good soil waiting for them and plenty of room to grow ๐Ÿ’›

Dahlias are growing beautifully, celosia is going in, lisianthus is starting to stretch, and rows of cinnamon basil are now planted too. If you've never smelled cinnamon basil before, it's incredible -- sweet, spicy and almost tropical.

And every single week, I am planting another succession of sunflowers. More than 100 sunflower plants are going into the ground each week so there will be blooms all summer long ๐ŸŒป

Right now the farm is full of spring, but these little plants are the promise of what's to come. That's one of my favorite things about farming you're always planting hope for a future season.

I can't wait to show these flowers with you in the months ahead ๐ŸŒธ

These flowers are going everywhere lately ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’›

Over the last few weeks, flowers from the farm have been heading to graduation parties, birthdays, bridal celebrations, family gatherings, dinner tables, and everyday homes across our community.

And this week's bouquets are some of my favorites yet!

I'll have armfuls of beautiful Canterbury bells, mixed with the last of the ranunculus, colorful snapdragons, delicate orlaya, and other spring favorites -- all grown right here in West Lafayette ๐ŸŒฑ

The bouquets are full, airy, cheerful, and perfect for:

๐ŸŒธ Weekend gatherings
๐ŸŽ“ Graduation celebrations
๐ŸŽ Thoughtful gifts
๐Ÿก Brightening your home
๐Ÿ’› Or simply enjoying the beauty of the season

The flower field changes every week, and these spring flowers won't be around much longer. Summer blooms are on their way, but right now is peak season for some of the most charming flowers we grow.

This weekend, flowers from my little farm became part of so many special moments ๐Ÿ’›

A bridal bouquet.๐ŸŒธ

12 centerpieces for a high school graduation party.

Party buckets filled with flowers ready to be arranged and enjoyed.

And countless bouquets that went home to kitchen tables, Graduation open houses, birthday parties, memorial services, and everyday moments that need a little beauty.

As a flower farmer, I spend so much time planting, weeding, harvesting, and arranging that it's easy to focus on the work. But weekends like this remind me why I do it.

These flowers don't stay on the farm. They become part of your stories, celebrating milestones, welcoming guests, marking special days.

Thank you to everyone who visited the farm stand, ordered flowers, trusted me with your events, and continues to support locally grown flowers here in West Lafayette.

We sold out again this weekend, and I'm incredibly grateful ๐ŸŒท

The season is still unfolding, and there are so many more flowers to come. I can't wait to keep sharing them with you all summer and into the fall.
