We went a different direction with this whole house audio project and went with audio amps instead of Sonos.

The amps sound great and match the Sonos feature wise almost 1 to 1. That coupled with a savings of about $350 per amp/room, make them a very enticing alternative.

These amps were installed behind a master bedroom tv allowing for tv audio in the master bath as well.
