On a VERY sad note, my mother Fina had a major stroke on Palm Sunday and we lost her yesterday on Easter Sunday. She was a GREAT mother, tough at times, but she raised us with strict rules and it’s what made us great men. She was the heart of our family and loved her grandchildren and great grand children with all her being. Her favorite place was the kitchen making food for a small army of Figueredos and the many friends who shared her secret Cuban recipes. She loved sports and would not miss a tennis match on any network. She leaves behind a great legacy and will be missed by the many who loved her. MAMI - thank you for LOVING and accepting me for who I am and not wanting to change any part of me. I will miss your wicked sense of humor and your way to just light up a room. I used to love shopping with you as a little boy, those memories I will treasure forever. Now, you are reunited with your soulmate - he’s waiting for you.
The photo was at Vanesa and James’s wedding wearing an Edwin Palacio dress and lace jacket, she was not smiling and I said “SMILE” and this was the result.
Her services are Wednesday, April 23rd at 11:00am at Blount & Curry Funeral Home 4207 East Lake Ave Tampa, Fl 33610.
