22 years together and 16 married. I knew I would marry you when I was 16 but you didn’t know until you were 29. 🤣 I had never been so sure about a decision in my life. My intuition was screaming at me that you were the one. In these 22 years you have held so many different versions of me. I am grateful to choose you every day. You make me crazy, make me laugh, keep me on my toes and always have a solution ready for any problem. You are my person and an incredible man. Not just to me but the kind of man who helps a woman on the plane with her luggage. You are an amazing dad - the one who will drop everything to do anything or go anywhere with our guy. I love you and I know you will hate this public display of affection but I don’t care. 😉 🫶

One year ago today I caught a python with my bare hands in the Everglades. It was the Year of the Snake in Chinese astrology and that synchronicity is still not lost on me. This moment will be burned into my memory for a lifetime. I have always had a fascination with snakes and they seemed to show up in my life at weird times and in unconventional ways. This python hunt was something I felt like I needed to do. I can’t really explain why but after the fact I know exactly why. It marked my transformation as a woman. I looked down at something that had once terrified me so much and I grabbed it with my hands. What I didn’t expect was the power I felt by pushing myself so far outside of my comfort zone that there wasn’t a chance I would go back to the woman I was even one second before that experience. When I feel scared about something I think back to this moment and I just compare it to reaching down and grabbing a python. All the fears seem to melt away and I remind myself that I can do scary things. I have told this story and showed this video so many times and every time I feel even more like a badass. Thank you to for coaching me through this whole process and giving me the experience of a lifetime. And what followed was even better for this woman who needed to know just how strong she can be.

I’m honored to be included in the double wellness issue of for May/June. The Cinnamon Effect Podcast exists because I was on a health journey and an evolution in my womanhood and motherhood. I thought I had a lot to say and share and it turns out that’s what I’m doing almost 3 years later. It hasn’t always been easy but it’s definitely worth it.
