FWA Finish Library | Bleached & Whitewashed White Oak

A soft, refined take on bleached and whitewashed White Oak.

This custom finish was developed to create a light, natural hardwood floor with subtle white tones while still allowing the grain and character of the White Oak to remain visible. The result is a clean, sophisticated look that works beautifully in coastal, contemporary, and luxury South Florida interiors.

Rather than covering the wood with an opaque white color, the finish softens the natural warmth of the White Oak and creates a more neutral, washed appearance.

Sample Details

• Wood Species: White Oak
• Style: Bleached & Whitewashed White Oak
• Appearance: Light, neutral, natural grain
• Custom FWA Finish

At Fiero Wood Artistry, we specialize in custom hardwood floor colors, bleached White Oak, whitewashed hardwood floors, hardwood floor refinishing, installation, restoration, and specialty finish systems throughout Palm Beach County and South Florida.

Looking for a lighter White Oak floor without losing the natural beauty of the wood? We create custom samples so you can see the finish on your actual flooring before the final color is applied.

Night Work | Hardwood Stair Refinishing & Preparation

While most people are winding down for the evening, we’re getting another hardwood flooring project ready for its next stage.

This reel follows our technician Pat during an after-hours staircase preparation. Proper hardwood stair refinishing starts with detailed sanding and surface preparation—removing the old finish, cleaning up the treads and risers, and creating a consistent surface before the new finish system is applied.

Staircases require a different level of attention than an open hardwood floor. Every tread, riser, edge, corner, and transition has to be worked individually.

Sometimes the best way to keep a project moving—and minimize disruption for the client—is to work after hours.

Palm Beach Versailles Parquet | Custom Floor Samples

We’ve now applied the on-floor finish samples for this custom white oak Versailles parquet project on Palm Beach Island.

The goal is to keep the finished floor looking as close to raw, natural wood as possible while still providing the protection and durability needed for the space. Several finish options were applied directly to the floor for the homeowner to compare before making the final selection.

Even though we create smaller sample boards before a project begins, we always prefer to apply final color samples directly to the actual flooring. Wood species, sanding, room orientation, and especially lighting can all change how a finish appears.

These two photos show the exact same samples—one with the room lights on and one with the lights off. The difference is significant.

That’s why lighting should always be considered when selecting a hardwood flooring color or finish. A sample that looks perfect under one light source can read completely differently under another.

Moving day at our new Lake Worth Beach townhouse, workspace, and future hardwood flooring showroom.

We’ve started moving in the 8" Select Grade White Oak that will be installed throughout the second- and third-floor living spaces. Once installed, the floors will be finished with a custom Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil system to showcase the natural character of the white oak.

The ground-floor hardwood flooring showroom is a separate project, and that material hasn’t arrived yet. There’s still a lot of construction, flooring, lighting, displays, and finish work ahead before the showroom is ready—but the transformation has officially started.

We’ll be documenting the process as this three-story live/work space becomes both a home and a dedicated South Florida hardwood flooring showroom.

The transformation of our new Lake Worth Beach townhouse, workspace, and future hardwood flooring showroom is underway.

Before the new flooring goes down, the old carpet and tack strips have to come out and the plywood subfloor needs to be properly prepared. This reel shows our crew working through that demolition and preparation stage on the second and third-floor living spaces.

Next up: installing 8" Select Grade White Oak hardwood flooring throughout the living areas, followed by a custom Rubio Monocoat finish designed to showcase the natural character of the white oak.

The finished floor gets all the attention, but a quality hardwood flooring installation starts with the work underneath it.

We’ll continue documenting the project as the new space takes shape.

Palm Beach Hardwood Floor Refinishing | Custom Versailles Parquet

Our sander Paul is using the Lägler TRIO to final sand this custom Rift & Quartered White Oak Versailles parquet floor on Palm Beach Island, Florida.

The TRIO is a precision finish-sanding machine used during the final stages of hardwood floor refinishing to flatten and refine the surface before the final color and finish system is applied.

With custom Versailles parquet flooring, final sanding is especially important. The individual wood pieces, changing grain directions, borders, and intersections all need to come together as one smooth, consistent hardwood floor.

This is one of the final preparation stages before this custom white oak parquet begins to show its finished appearance.

Big news for Fiero Wood Artistry!!!

We officially closed on our new Lake Worth Beach townhouse and future FWA hardwood flooring showroom.

The ground-floor storefront will soon begin its transformation into a dedicated space where homeowners, designers, builders, and architects can experience hardwood flooring up close — custom colors, white oak, specialty finishes, parquet, hardwax oils, and the craftsmanship behind our work.

The showroom isn’t ready yet. In fact, there’s a lot of work ahead of us. Construction, flooring, lighting, displays, samples, and plenty of details still need to come together.

But that’s part of the story.

We’re excited to document the transformation from an empty storefront into the next chapter of Fiero Wood Artistry.

Palm Beach White Oak Versailles Parquet | Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Another look at this custom white oak Versailles parquet floor in Palm Beach during the full trowel filling stage.

After the initial sanding, filler is worked across the entire surface to address minor gaps, seams, nail holes, and imperfections throughout the intricate parquet pattern. The excess will be removed during the next sanding stage, leaving the floor smoother and better prepared for the final color and finish system.

The finished look gets the attention—but luxury hardwood floor refinishing is built in the preparation.
