I don't know about you but when I go to my local hardware store it can get pretty overwhelming with all the different types of choices out there. 😕
Recently, I was there looking for a paint roller to use for epoxying the garage floor and it really hit me just how many different nap sizes there serving a variety of purposes. 🤯
Let's start with nap size, what does that even mean? 🤓
✨ The nap is the thickness of the roller cover.
Essentially thinner sizes are great for smoother surfaces and thicker sizes are for rougher surfaces.
This is because thicker naps hold more paint, helping get it into the crevices and valleys of the texture. Smaller naps are better for smoother surfaces since the rollers picks up less paint.
So here's a little reference guide I've put together based on what I've learned as well!
