Lindsey Brooke Design was created in an attempt to fill up my creative cup again and pursue a life long dream of being an Interior Decorator. After lots of soul searching and finding my passion again for design I decided to pour all my thoughts, tips, and my design passion into this business. With a design background in fashion, I have always wanted to go into Interiors as well and never gave myse

lf the opportunity. Since becoming a mom to my wonderful son in May of 2013, I have put my time, energy and focus into him. Now its time to take a little bit of that back and take a leap of faith and do something I love. I grew up and have lived all of my life in San Diego and the greater Los Angeles area. Currently residing in Thousand Oaks, CA with my loving husband, and our two adventurous boys James and Beau. I spend my days playing with my boys, enjoying California weather, and creating fun and beautiful spaces. I love blending in budget friendly and high end pieces to give you a unique one of a kind space. Whether you have a small budget or none at all I would love to help you create your dream room.

Project Tudor Storybook is one of those projects where the architecture tells you exactly what the design wants to be. The home has a distinctly Tudor character with a brick exterior, an arched entry, and a steeply pitched roofline. From the very beginning, we knew the interior had to honor that in the way that the materials, the warmth, and the craftsmanship all feel like they belong to the same story the architecture is already telling. The material selections are coming together beautifully: warm stained oak, marble with real movement, handmade tile in earthy tones, leather hardware, and a powder room that is doing something completely its own with blue plaster walls and a rough-hewn stone vessel sink. Every room has its own moment while still feeling deeply cohesive.

When I was building this business, some of the hardest moments were the ones where I felt completely alone in it. I had so many questions I didn’t know who to ask. I wanted a community of people who were in it too: people I could be honest with, learn from, and grow alongside. That space didn’t really exist, so we built it. The relationships that have come out of Design Camp are the thing I am most proud of. Swipe through for some of my favorite people and the messages that remind me exactly why we started this. Join us at Design Camp 2026 at The Austin Proper Hotel from August 31 through September 3. Registration closes July 15. Link in bio for more information, we can’t wait to see you there.

The best spaces I have ever designed didn’t happen because of me alone. They happened because of the relationship we hold with our clients. Interior design is a deeply personal process. We are asking clients to trust us with the spaces where they live, rest, raise their families, and come home to at the end of the day. That kind of trust doesn’t come automatically, it’s built through honest conversations, genuine listening, and a shared commitment to getting it right.

When that relationship is there, everything changes. The design goes deeper because we understand not just what a client wants a room to look like, but how they want it to feel and how they actually live in it. The process becomes a collaboration rather than a transaction, and the result reflects that in every detail. I always think about how a space will function first, and that only happens when a client feels comfortable enough to tell me the truth about their life. The more open that conversation is, the better the home becomes.

Let’s take a peek back at the primary bedroom of Project Next Chapter, starting with the moment that anchors the whole space, the sitting area. This was a room where scale worked against us early on, because the space was beautiful but big, and a grand space on its own doesn’t make a room feel intentional. We had to find ways to bring it down, to break up the proportions and let the room have moments instead of being one big moment.

The sitting area became the answer to that. We carved out a corner just for the two of them, somewhere for morning coffee before the house wakes up, and a place to read at the end of the day. It’s a spot that isn’t the bed, because so much of life as a parent of older kids is about finding small pockets of just-yours in a house that’s mostly shared. They asked for a bedroom that felt like a retreat, which meant designing for moments, not just for sleeping.

The materials are calm on purpose. Soft greens, warm whites, natural linen, plaster walls, organic textures, all of it meant to slow you down the second you walk in.

Meet Project Tudor Storybook. Before a single finish is confirmed or a piece of furniture is ordered, we build the world. This is where we are right now: in the beautiful early phase where everything is still taking shape, and the vision is just beginning to come into focus.

The tone for this home is warm and natural, with a nod to quality and craftsmanship in every material we have chosen. Worn oak floors, textured stone, soft tonal cabinetry, and moments of quiet drama through the fireplace and marble details. The kind of home that feels collected and considered without feeling precious.

The secret to a seamless shoot day? It starts long before the camera comes out.

Every project we photograph or video begins with a detailed pre-production document. Think of it as our playbook for the entire shoot. It includes everything from styling inspiration and florals to produce, shot lists, social content ideas, and exactly what pieces we plan to pull from our shop.

We map out every room, layer in renderings, and build visual references so our team knows exactly what to style and where it goes. It doesn’t mean everything will stay exactly the same, but it gives us a clear direction and keeps everyone aligned.

Because the reality is: shoot days move fast. Preparation is what allows the creativity to flow without the chaos. Work smarter, not harder. And always come to set with a plan.

2026 is the year that LBD is getting her glow up.

We felt like our store didn’t fully reflect the level of design we’re creating in our firm. And if it doesn’t represent us, it doesn’t represent you. So we’re putting all our eggs in our own basket. New wallpaper. Plaster. Custom millwork. Updated lighting. Pieces sourced from artisans locally and around the world. And something special we’ve been quietly building behind the scenes.

We want the new LBD showroom to feel like walking into possibility. Whether you’re buying a candle or planning a full remodel, you should leave inspired by the textures, the prints, the furniture, and the details. Visit to see more.

Sometimes a refresh isn’t about starting over. It’s about looking at what exists and making thoughtful decisions that bring everything into alignment.

In the Project Next Chapter living room, the original dark wood built-in was lightened to add dimension and let the room breathe. The fireplace, which had always felt a little oversized for the space, was replaced with a smaller marble design that now feels cohesive with the rest of the home. Once the fireplace changed, we were able to shift the built-in to sit perfectly centered between the wall and the new surround, correcting an off-center placement that had always bothered me and gaining a little extra storage in the process.

The corner that had been occupied by a table and chairs became one of my favorite decisions in the whole room: a custom built-in bench with an oversized sconce that now anchors that entire side of the space in a way the original layout never could. Fresh paint and lighter drapery brought the whole room together.
