Laminate vs LVP. Same look, very different performance. Here's what actually separates them. 🤔

🪵 Laminate has a wood composite core. It looks beautiful and is budget-friendly, but it is NOT waterproof. Standing water can cause it to swell and warp.

💧 LVP is 100% vinyl all the way through, making it completely waterproof and a better fit for kitchens, bathrooms, and basements.

🦶 Feel: LVP is slightly softer and quieter underfoot. Laminate can sound hollow without quality underlayment.

Neither is the wrong choice. It just depends on the room and how your household lives.

One question we get all the time: does it matter who installs my tile? 🤔

The short answer is yes, and here's why it matters more than most people realize.

🪨 Subfloor prep is everything. Tile installed over an uneven or flexible subfloor will crack over time, no matter how good the tile itself is. A skilled installer checks and corrects this before a single piece goes down.

📐 Layout planning changes the whole look. Where you start the pattern and how you handle edges and transitions significantly affects the finished result.

🧱 Grout joint consistency. Uneven spacing is one of the most noticeable signs of a rushed install and it's very difficult to fix after the fact.

⏳ Cure time matters. Walking on tile too early or skipping proper curing steps can compromise the bond.

Great tile deserves a great installation. 🙌
