Q: Why clip puppy nails? 💅
A: Besides the fact that it's maintenance grooming and prevents damage to your things or you.... it's easier to get them used to the process when they're young so they'll do better with a groomer/vet. This will cause less anxiety if they need to go to the vet because they're already used to having their nails/paws messed with. Even if you decide not to clip nails later on, your vet and groomer will thank you.
The reason we use this kind of clipper first instead of a dremel style, is because it's less threatening, quieter, and not sending strange vibration feelings through the nail. We have found this method a good introductory step that causes less anxiety, if you prefer the dremel style. They tend to be more accepting of the dremel style after getting used to the clippers. However, the style of clippers shown is still a good standard choice.
