When you have a gorgeous piece with some "troubled areas". . T

This has happened to me with very high end furniture and some furniture brands such as, Broyhill. They either have compressed wood, MDF,or compressed cardboard.

Sometimes you have to sand through the manufacturers finish to get out the blemishes. In this case my top had bubbles on it where water damage occurred. . .

The best remedy for this is OIL BASED POLYURETHANE! 💯 💪 💰. IT IS THE ONLY WAY I'VE FOUND THAT I CAN GET AN EVEN PAINT 🎨 FINISH! If you don't seal these areas with oil based poly the areas will absorb your paint and make it look blotchy! I learned the hard way on a Broyhill piece 2 years ago. I tried a primer and even Shellac to no avail.

So this is just a PRO TIP to help you so you can skip the headache I had!!

I had a Wipe On Polyurethane on hand but I have also brushed it on and used a Minwax Oil Poly too!!

Removing hardware is so easy with my Black N Decker Electric Screwdriver. It gets in small places my drill doesn't. Love this tool!! 🔥💯 ❤️ I also love it when my other half offers to help so I can record it and hold the door during the screw removal.

Well you guys I've been working on a special piece for a lovely client of mine. She purchased a Bombay Style Chest of Drawers/ Secretary Desk. This was a piece I was really debating on keeping for myself as they aren't easy to come by.

I have shared some of the design concepts and it's been an ongoing project with ideas and input from my client and myself. It's been a lovely process with some unexpected twists but everything worked out for the best so far!!

Vintage Office Chair with Swivel Base in need of base repair. This was all in 12 pieces. I used wood glu, clamped it, then replaced all the screws that were missing with #14 screws. Now it's good as new!
