This is a chance to use your skills on a 6 X 6 square tile to help the Kemp Center for the Arts raise money (while you could win a top prize of $300)!

Essentially, you will buy a tile to paint while Carol Castro Ceramics provides free glaze and studio time. The tile will be donated to the Kemp along with your completed application. Entries willl be displayed in the Northlight Gallery Oct. 31 until Nov. 19 when the Silent Auction closes. Your piece must "read" predominantly one of the seven ROYGBIV colors.

Kids of all ages from the SAFB Youth Center created 6" square tile masterpieces this month during two separate outings. The Paint Your Own Pottery Parlour was abuzz with bubble glazing, splatter painters, stencil-users and little creators having fun. Thank you Angel, Kim, and all the patient staff who made this possible!

Saturday is Party Time at Carol Castro Ceramics, and Texoma Community Credit Union threw a doosie last week as an appreciation outing for their membership! Charcuterie, custom TCCU cups, and lots of pottery painters filled both the Parlour and the Party room. Hats off to TCCU for supporting us and giving their members a really memorable outing!

An owl, a rabbit, and a hedgehog served as inspiration for three young artists this past Wednesday. They made bells and whistles during THE SOUND OF CLAY class.
