What looks like a simple rock bed transformation was actually a MASSIVE amount of labor, prep work, hauling, grading, and detail work behind the scenes.

This project involved:
• Removing overgrown vegetation, roots, weeds, and debris
• Multiple material and supply runs
• Mini skid steer excavation and grading to completely reshape the area
• Hauling and spreading thousands of pounds of decorative Missouri river rock
• Installing commercial-grade landscape fabric
• Installing steel landscape edging for a permanent clean border
• Planting and soil prep for ornamental grasses
• Additional gravel base, soil, seed, and restoration work
• Final grading, cleanup, and detail finishing

A project like this takes FAR more than just dropping rock in a bed. Every inch had to be prepped, leveled, shaped, installed, and cleaned by hand and equipment to get the final result.

Simple upgrades can make a big difference 🌿

For this project, we added new phlox, salvia, and ornamental grass, then finished it off with fresh black mulch to give the bed a clean, polished look.

The new plants add color, texture, and seasonal interest while the black mulch really makes everything pop.
