So to be clear, I was invited to attend about 1 week ago. I asked MONTHS ago as well as several attempts to get clarification on their criteria and was met with nothing. So I accepted another invitation elsewhere in the state.
Had I been asked at the same time the other candidates were asked, I would have attended. But I do not cancel or break my promises to events and people I have committed to.
That should be commended, instead it is being villianized as my fault for not dropping everything to be there.
As was said to my face just last Friday in a room full of witnesses in Wichita, "Don't say we didn't ask you!"
Well, that is true. You asked, full well knowing I book months in advance.
And as I replied in that room full of witnesses, had you been fair from the beginning, and asked me when the others were asked, I could have been there.
I will not be bullied and then made to look like it was my fault because I am a woman of my word.
And if you want to catch me, I will be in Humbolt Thursday evening!

Other people I know already "established" in the Kansas Goverment have social media pages with just a few more followers than I currently have and they have been in politics for YEARS! This page has only been running for a few months.
