The Iron Door Project

09/21/2026

A beautiful door for a home built with an even bigger purpose. ❤️

The Iron Door Project was honored to donate these custom iron wine-room doors for the 2026 Kansas City St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, built by Patriot Homes.

Seeing the finished space makes this project especially meaningful. From the grapevine-inspired ironwork to the custom hardware and finish, these doors were designed specifically for the home's wine room — and we're incredibly proud to have our craftsmanship included in a project supporting the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This isn't our first opportunity to be part of a St. Jude Dream Home, and we're grateful each time we're able to contribute alongside the builders, craftsmen, vendors and donors who make these homes possible.

The Kansas City Dream Home is now open for public tours through October 11, so visitors can see the completed home — including a little piece of Wichita craftsmanship — in person.

📍 10222 N. Smalley Dr., Kansas City, MO
🏠 Saturdays: 9 a.m.–5 p.m. | Sundays: noon–5 p.m.

Thank you to Patriot Homes, St. Jude and all of the construction donors who came together for such an important cause.

One of the biggest advantages of choosing a custom iron door is the ability to match your exact style. Whether you prefer traditional wrought iron details or clean, modern slim-line designs, your door is built to fit your home’s look.

Every project is tailored to the space, ensuring the right balance of design and performance. With expert craftsmanship behind every build, your entryway becomes both functional and intentional. Custom design always makes the difference.

May is a great time to focus on upgrades that add both function and long-term value to your home. A custom wrought iron door offers durability, security, and timeless curb appeal that lasts for decades.

Unlike materials that fade or require constant upkeep, iron doors are built to perform through Midwest seasons. Designed specifically for your home, they create a strong and lasting first impression. Smart upgrades start at the entryway.

When planning upgrades, long-term maintenance matters. Hand-forged iron doors require far less upkeep than wood or fiberglass alternatives. A simple wipe with a damp cloth keeps them looking beautiful year after year.

Designed for durability and longevity, iron doors are built to stand up to Midwest seasons without constant refinishing. Smart materials make everyday living easier.

A double entry iron door creates a dramatic and memorable first impression. These doors are ideal for larger openings or homeowners who want symmetry and presence at the front of their home.

Built with strength, balance, and timeless design, double iron doors combine beauty and security in one statement piece. Each set is custom-measured and handcrafted for a perfect fit. May is a great time to explore bold design choices that last a lifetime.

No two homes are alike, which is why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all doors. Our custom iron door design process allows homeowners to choose everything from overall style to glass layout and detailing. Whether you prefer traditional wrought iron or a clean modern look, your door is built specifically for your space.

Our in-house designer works with inspiration photos, sketches, or ideas to bring your vision to life. Custom means personal — and that’s where great design begins.

May is one of the best months to plan exterior upgrades that add long-term value. A custom wrought iron door instantly enhances curb appeal while offering strength and durability that other materials can’t match.

Designed to withstand Kansas and Missouri weather, iron doors are a smart investment for homeowners looking beyond quick fixes. Each door we build is handcrafted and tailored to the home it belongs to.

A strong entryway sets the tone for everything else.
