We are pleased to announce the promotion of Jane Lallement to Marketing Manager. Since joining the firm as a Marketing Assistant, Jane has played an integral role in Shelden’s marketing, graphic design, and client engagement efforts. Her warmth, creativity, and commitment to exceptional service have helped strengthen the firm's brand and foster meaningful relationships with clients and partners. Whether welcoming clients to the office or coordinating strategic marketing initiatives, Jane consistently reflects the values and culture of Shelden Architecture.

In her new role as Marketing Manager, Jane will continue to lead the firm's marketing efforts, helping to expand the firm's outreach, strengthen client relationships, and support the firm’s continued growth and success.

We recently had the pleasure to partner with the Kansas Aviation Museum's STEAM Summer Camp to inspire the next generation of innovators! One of our designers, Mattie, had a great time introducing campers ages 6–11 to the world of Architecture & Design through interactive discussions and hands-on activities.

Together, they explored how creativity, problem-solving, and design help bring ideas to life—from aviation to the spaces around us. It was so much fun seeing these young minds discover that great design is everywhere and that their ideas have the power to make an impact.

Exciting progress continues on our new office building as the project moves closer to completion! Interior finishes are coming together, with countertops and tons of custom millwork now being installed throughout the space. The industrial steel stair systems are taking shape and will serve as striking architectural features connecting the building's levels. Paint is being completed, cloud ceilings are being installed, and tile work is progressing throughout key areas. Carpet installation will soon be underway, along with exterior landscaping to put the finishing touches on the building.

It's rewarding to see so many elements come together as our future home continues to transform from a construction site into a vibrant, collaborative workplace.

Meritrust Credit Union at Sweetbriar on 21st and Amidon recently celebrated the opening of their beautiful new branch! This 3,200 SF credit union features four offices, a breakroom, a workroom, two interior teller stations, and three ITMs on the exterior. A wood-slat-look cloud ceiling highlights the lobby, complemented by three-way surround clerestory windows that bring in abundant natural light.

This new branch gives Meritrust an even greater footprint and outreach within the Wichita community. Congratulations to everyone involved in this project, and here's to the continued growth and success of this new location!

The renovation of the Kansas Health Foundation was designed to create a more collaborative and welcoming workplace while honoring the organization’s impact on community health across Kansas. Through thoughtful planning, updated interiors, and improved functionality, the project reflects the Foundation’s mission while supporting staff wellbeing and stronger engagement with partners and visitors.

This past weekend, McPherson College celebrated a major milestone—50 years of its incredible Automotive Restoration Program! It was a privilege for Carlos Coello and Stan Shelden to be part of such a meaningful event.

We’re honored to be collaborating on the next chapter of the Automotive Restoration Building, Templeton Hall. Working alongside faculty and leadership to understand their vision, challenges, and goals has been an amazing experience. A huge thank you to Michael Schneider and Amanda Gutierrez for trusting us with this project—we can’t wait to help bring this vision to life.

Our team also had a great time assembling a detailed model of the building—shoutout to Lindsay Jennings from our team for collaborating with GoCreate at Wichita State University’s College of Engineering campus on this effort. Here’s to what’s ahead!
