AFT is proud to announce a partnership with Butler community college out of Andover Kansas.
We are now offering a 4 day intro to flooring class. This class is not designed to create an installer in 4 days. This class showcases all aspects of the flooring industry to students at little to no cost to them due to scholarships and grant funding. We allow the students the ability to find the piece that appeals to them the most, and then we enroll them in further educational classes to focus on those aspects. We cover everything from measuring and estimating to hands on lvp and carpet installation. We have also partnered with Pruitt flooring to offer on the job training in real world scenarios.
Thanks to our local CCA/ Pro source, we were able to give the students an amazing tour of the show room and warehouse. The students were shown everything that happens from the time a customer walks in the door until the material is loaded on an installers truck. They saw binding and surging, custom rug fabrication and even got to play with some magnetic flooring. Truly a one of kind glimpse into the flooring industry.
The next class is schedule for June 8th - 11th.
