Is there anything better than NEW YARN?!?! 🧶✨

I’m only halfway through my current WIP, so naturally, it’s time to start planning my next cast-on. Because one project at a time? Please. 😂

Enter the Le Perle Sweater by one of my all-time favorite designers, ! I’m absolutely smitten with the relaxed, boxy silhouette and all that gorgeous seed stitch texture. Simple, timeless, and just interesting enough to keep those needles flying!

And the yarn? Ohhhh, the yarn! 😍

We just welcomed Merino Aran from to the shop, and I’ve been itching to get it on my needles. It’s plump, squishy, and practically begging to be paired with a fluffy strand of mohair. The combination is going to give Le Perle the most delicious texture and a dreamy halo.

After a VERY serious color consultation (because these are important life decisions), I kept coming back to Seaside Whimsy, our custom colorway created especially for The Mermaid’s Purl. 💕

The yarn has been chosen. The pattern is queued. My current WIP has officially been demoted. 😂

Now I’m headed home to CAST ON!

That New Handknit Sweater Feeling!! IYKYK💃🧶

There is seriously no better feeling than pouring hours and hours into a project—blood, sweat, tears, and approximately a million stitches—only to cross that finish line, try it on, and discover that IT FITS TO PERFECTION! 🙌

And the cherry on top? I finished my new sweater just in time for Rhinebeck, with a few days to spare! Who even am I?!

Meet my new Edith Sweater by and let me tell you, I loved EVERY SECOND of knitting this beauty. Even the part where I had to rip out and reknit the sleeve ribbing because I completely spaced and worked the wrong pattern. 🤦‍♀️
