We’re right in the middle of busy season which means I’m spending every waking moment either in the studio or prepping for this season’s weddings. It’s hard work- and what you see on the wedding day is the easiest part. It’s the standing mats, my hokas, my gloves, Tylenol and a lot of diet cokes that get me through design days.

But the end result is always worth it all. And looking back on J&K September day that kicked off my busy season???? It reminds me that hard work is necessary to create perfection.

A bridal bouquet that feels like each stem was picked directly from Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards exclusively for Kirsten’s bouquet. When we talk about weaving in a seamless design to fit your venue- this is what I mean. This isn’t following a trend or a Pinterest board. This is intentional AND personal. This is design.

Aster & Bee has turned into more than I ever could have imagined, and now I’m looking for a perfect addition to the team. ✨✨✨ Not looking for a quick fill- I’m looking for the perfect match. Am I looking for a unicorn? Or am I looking for you?

Flexible schedule, part time except for wedding weeks, must love a good co-work meet-up at a coffee shop, wants to inspire and be inspired, views floral design as art ✨

Favorite things:
A notes app full of dreams and the audacity to pursue them when the time feels right
Whimsy Foliage
An organized cooler

Who relates? Just me????

Pretty table blooms 😍 Photographing flowers is an art of its own, and I am in awe of how Luke & Ashley Photography captured this day. If flowers are high on your priority list, an incredible photographer is SO invaluable to that vision.

Allium 🤝 Scabiosa- reaching for the stars ✨ YOUR RECIPE RATIOS MATTER!!! Recipes throughout the wedding day shouldn’t be copy and paste. Instead, we create consistency and “flow” of the design throughout the day by weaving in certain floral elements in impactful pieces. About 1/6 of this design had allium (for larger arrangements) or scabiosa (for smaller arrangements) for that pop of height.

Moving away from “copy and paste” floral recipes is what makes a wedding look and feel unforgettable.
