Our clients are closing on this stunning waterfront home, perfectly situated on their neighborhood’s marina canal with direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway. A few weeks ago, we hit the ground running to kick off the design process for furnishings and decor! ✨

We began with a detailed questionnaire and discovery sessions to explore their lifestyle, color palette, material preferences, and personal interests. We never rush past these conversations, as they set the foundation for the entire project. They guide our spatial layouts, custom millwork designs, and the curation of every piece of furniture, art, window treatment, and accessory — all chosen to feel like a natural extension of the family.

The goal is a home with layers that evoke depth and character, are intentional and functional designs, and feel unmistakably theirs!

What a gift it is to work day-to-day with such a dear friend. One of the things I admire most about you is your love for Jesus and how it flows into every area of your life. It shows in the way you’re a steady, grounding presence — to your family, your friendships, and our team.

You’re truly one of the hardest-working gals I know, yet you still find a way to make even the most ordinary days fun! The dedication and grit you’ve shown in learning the intricacies of this industry are incredible. You joyfully juggle countless tabs, spreadsheets, and documents with such focus, keeping our client folders and design details organized and precise. I often have “pinch me, is this real?” moments — so grateful for all the time and heart you pour into this little business I love.

There’s something about these in-motion photos that we love as we reflect on this summer’s pace.

Most weeks feel like a blur—in the best way:
We’re on the go, and so are our clients, build teams, and subs. We’re running to job sites, scheduling meetings, taking calls on the move, and snapping photos of all the progress. But we love the wildness of summer rhythms and the longer days. We’re savoring how moments with family, taking up new hobbies, going on adventures, and getting creative within the mundane fuel so much inspiration.

Behind the scenes, is enjoying the millionth book club read and creating the dreamiest tablescapes to host her loved ones. She loves how curating the details stirs her imagination and the experience it draws others into. , our incredible summer intern, recently traveled to the Convention in Las Vegas with —where she connected with fellow Latino professionals, attended career workshops, and returned inspired. She reminded us that the joy of connecting with others is the opportunity to share stories and learn from one another. And .scanlan recent trip to New England was full of city and open landscapes, cultural foods, spontaneous conversations, incredible architecture, and layered history. She’s come back refreshed with exciting dreams ahead for Blue Heron Designs.

These are the kinds of lived moments we love mining for from our clients. They tell us so much about their travels and life experiences, most memorable and cherished family moments, and how their lifestyle shapes their spaces.
