I bring you the last room we have to share from the log cabin project! This guest bathroom in the basement is bright and calming. Creamy white walls and zellige tile in the glassed in shower help to brighten this windowless space. An oversized round mirror with MCM inspired vanity and lights give this bathroom a modern feel. The smaller sink leaves plenty of counter space for guests and the matte black faucet adds some drama. Everything you need within eyesight!

This built in bar in the log cabin basement is just steps outside of a guest room. An incorporated wine fridge, a pot filler for morning coffee and a microwave offer guests (or kids and grandkids who visit) everything they might need. The chunky zellige style of tile gives the new area a nod towards the rustic feel of the home. The neutral colors blend seamlessly with the rest of the spaces. The added lighting gives the needed cozy factor. Yes to all of it!!

Does a beautiful laundry room make you happier to do laundry? I'm saying yes. Custom cabinets, extra storage, space for hanging clothes, a utility sink and yes please every room needs a lamp instead of only overhead lighting! The log cabin laundry/storage room continues the home's theme of modern but classy with black and white design with warm naturals. The beautiful woodwork is highlighted against the black cabinetry. The open shelving gives an opportunity for more organic textures with the baskets. The marble backsplash is classy but fun with its subtle flower pattern. When dealing with smaller spaces, natural materials elevate the space effortlessly. Happy laundering!

How sweet is the powder room in the log cabin basement?! This sink from was the entire inspiration for this space. Classic black and white design, but this subway tile is 2x12, giving it a bit of a more modern feel. The wallpaper and light from are the perfect companions to the sink. Half baths are kinda perfect for using wallpaper- less moisture than a full bath but a small enough space to take some risks and not break the budget.

How do you add interest to a very utilitarian hallway? These whimsical pendant lights from do the trick. Adding storage was a must for the log cabin project and the basement was the obvious place to do it. The custom built-ins are made from the same wood with the same look as the upstairs kitchen cabinet, helping to unify the 2 spaces. Our client wanted the lighting to have personality, be noticeable and fun! The scalloped edges of the hammered metal adds some unexpected flair to this classic design.

Calming and neutral earth tones were the direction for the log cabin basement. Greens and browns, which were also used upstairs, carry out throughout the walk out basement. This light and airy space has room to play, room to eat, room for a drink, room for games, room to rest... All with functionality in mind when it's steps from the pool. A nice contrast to the upstairs log walls but still plenty cozy!

Moving down to the basement of the log cabin... How do u make an entirely drywalled space belong to the log cabin it sits below? Our clients made the excellent move of adding this stone accent wall, which matches their upstairs fireplace surrounds. This wall is the first thing you see when coming downstairs or in from the back yard. It adds a rustic vibe that goes not only with the upstairs, but with the outside setting. The artwork is calming landscapes in earth tones and the decor is modern and simple. Cozy but not overcrowded.

This littlest of guest bathrooms was made far more usable by removing a shower kit in the corner and adding tile (thanks to ) with a glass door and surround. Due to the small size, tile was added behind the console sink as well, but one log wall got to stay:) This whole space is a surprising pop of fun when you open the door. Don't be afraid to try patterns in small spaces!

Let's start 2025 with some coziness! The upstairs of the log cabin is full of nooks and crannies, perfect for kids' imaginations and decorated with (again) hosting and family visits in mind. The bedding from is the star of the show in terms of decor. Vintage inspiration, classic design and colors, but with a dose of whimsy that perfectly complements the setting. The Wendall Berry poem that's framed on the wall sums it up..."I come into the peace of wild things...I rest in the grace of the world, and am free."

Let's head upstairs at the log cabin. Four matching black leather armchairs from , settled on a rug dominate the loft space. Natural light from the oversized living room windows share both the light and the view. Black built-ins were added to hold books, a vinyl collection and a record player. Artwork from a favorite store in WV, plants and cozy lighting finish the space. Great spot for the parents to hang out after tucking the kids in!

Welcome to the log cabin primary bathroom! Taking a cue from the outdoors, this deep green tile (from ) covers the vanity and shower walls. The hexagon flooring (from ) is marble, using a natural material to complement the exposed wood ceiling. The lighting (from ) adds the modern touch this room needs. The greens, beiges and creams you'll see used throughout the home, giving the calming feel the clients are after. Can we all take a moment to appreciate the BEAUTIFUL GREEN TILE??
