What’s hiding inside your rug?

Before any rug is washed, it goes through our professional dusting process — removing pounds of dry soil, sand, and debris trapped deep inside the fibers. That hidden grit is what causes rugs to wear out prematurely.

Once the dust is removed, the rug goes through our full wash process: scrubbing, soaking, rinsing, and extraction to bring it back to life.

After washing, rugs are carefully dried either by hanging or by laying flat with powerful air movement underneath and above — like you see in this video — to ensure they dry evenly and safely.

The result? A rug that looks better, lasts longer, and is truly clean from the inside out.

t’s still cold outside.
No grass. No flowers. No signs of spring ❄️

But in our shop?
New pile is popping up everywhere 🌱

This Caucasian handmade rug came in with moth damage and years of wear — areas where the pile was completely gone. We rebuilt those sections by hand, knot by knot, then carefully finished them so they blend seamlessly back into the original rug.

What you’re seeing here is the life coming back.
Hand repaired. Hand finished.

While the world waits for spring, we’re busy growing it — one rug at a time.

See those long strands sticking up above the surface?
We call those cat pulls.

They’re individual fibers that get pulled higher than the rest of the pile over time, making a rug look fuzzy or uneven even when it’s otherwise in good condition. Careful clipping trims only the raised fibers and restores a clean, uniform surface.

It’s a small detail — but it makes a noticeable difference when done correctly.

Repurposing a Persian Sarouk Rug (circa 1930s)

Taking a beautiful old Sarouk from the 1930s and giving it a second life. In this video, we’re cutting and fabricating custom seat cushions — and once everything is shaped and stitched, we’ll be adding finished side binding to complete the look.
