She was dying. Stranded in the morning heat on a remote beach in Equatorial Guinea, this massive leatherback sea turtle had become trapped—wedged between a small tree and the dense jungle. Her dark skin was flushed pink from hours of struggling under the relentless sun. She had stripped the bark from the tree in her desperate attempt to escape. Her flipper was bleeding. Her eyes, vacant and glazed. She barely moved.

Leatherbacks typically come ashore to nest under the cover of night. But she had been caught by daylight—exhausted, overheating, and alone.

Then something miraculous happened.

A team discovered her and sprang into action. They doused her scorched skin with saltwater. Coaxed the tree downward. And gently helped her body push free.

Within 30 minutes, this ocean giant—one of the oldest living species on Earth—was swimming again. Alive. Rescued. Safe.

Leatherback sea turtles are the largest of all sea turtles and among the most wide-ranging. From the coasts of the Coral Triangle to California, they migrate across entire oceans, feeding mostly on jellyfish. But despite their incredible journeys, they are not safe. Egg poaching, entanglement in fishing gear, and habitat destruction have pushed some populations to the edge of extinction.

This one made it. But many don’t.

Let her story be a reminder: even the ancient and mighty sometimes need our help.

Thanks to for her courageous rescue.

Most people don’t need more time. 🌿
They need less chaos—less distraction.

A peaceful work–home life isn’t about doing everything.
It’s about doing a few things well. 💫

——————————

Here are 7 suggestions:

1) Design your space with intention
Clear clutter. Let light in. Set up your workspace so it supports focus—not stress.

2) Create zones for different energy
Work, rest, and recharge shouldn’t compete for the same space.

3) Reset your space twice a day
Set aside 10 minutes in the morning and evening to prevent clutter overwhelm.

4) Work in rhythms, not rigid schedules
Structure your day in blocks so it flows—focus, admin, rest.

5) Take time for mental calm
Even a few minutes of quiet—no noise, no input—can reset your entire day.

6) Step outside for nature breaks
Fresh air, light, and a short walk can do more than another hour at your desk.
Simple shifts. Real impact.

7) Peace isn’t found in a weekend reset
It’s built into how you live life every day.

Love this. Animals show higher intelligence than they are credited for. This is not uncommon with animals. Various species will step up to take care of the young that are stranded and struggling. An act of certain kindness as far as I can tell. If you agree, like and share to educate others.

Mountain lion spotted raising a bear cub in Yosemite. Wildlife cameras in Yosemite National Park recently captured something no one expected a mountain lion caring for a black bear cub.

Rangers first noticed the pair traveling together at night, the cub trotting at the lion’s side as if it had always belonged there. Over the weeks, the cameras showed more: the lion pausing to let the cub rest, sharing kills, and even circling protectively when other predators approached.

A few nice ideas here. Worth the watch.

"Man's attitude toward nature is today critically important simply because we have now acquired a fateful power to alter and destroy nature. But man is a part of nature, and his war against nature is inevitably a war against himself? [We are] challenged as mankind has never been challenged before to prove our maturity and our mastery, not of nature, but of ourselves."
~ Rachel Carson, 1964, author of Silent Spring
60 years later, her words still ring true, and inspire us to take action, however we can. Green Building principles allow us to try to affect nature in a positive way, before it's too late.
