Everybody, meet Sizzlipede! ❤️🖤💛 The fiery little Bug-type Pokémon that brings the heat to this week's October Craft Challenge! 🎃

For this week's theme, Scurry, I chose Sizzlipede, the Radiator Pokémon ( #850)! This Fire/Bug-type Pokémon might look small, but don't let that fool you! 🔥

📖 According to its Pokémon Sword Pokédex entry:

"It stores flammable gas in its body and uses it to generate heat. The yellow sections on its belly get particularly hot." 🔥

🦋🌑 October Craft Challenge – Week 3, Project 1: Afraid of the Dark! 🌑🦋

👁️ Meet Mothman! 👁️

For this week’s Afraid of the Dark project, I decided to bring one of the most mysterious creatures of American folklore to life! 🖤

Mothman is a legendary creature said to have been spotted in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, during the 1960s. Described as a large, winged figure with glowing red eyes, Mothman became famous after a series of reported sightings in 1966–1967. Some stories connect his appearances to strange events and warnings of impending disaster, making him one of the most intriguing figures in cryptid lore. 👀🌫️

Is he a supernatural omen, an undiscovered creature, or simply a legend that grew over time?

I had so much fun creating this project for my October Craft Challenge! 🎃👻

🎃 October Crafting Challenge — Week 1, Project 1: DUNGEON 🎃

We’re kicking off my October craft challenge with the prompt DUNGEON! 🕯️👀

For this one, I had to make two of my favorite characters from a series I am completely obsessed with: Carl and Princess Donut from Dungeon Crawler Carl! 🐱👑

If you haven’t read this series yet… WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!

I’m currently on Book 5 and absolutely loving every chaotic, hilarious, and completely unhinged moment.

I had so much fun bringing Carl and Donut to life for this prompt! This is an original design that I am currently tweaking to make something more detailed and much larger!

📅 Each week (technically starting September 27th), I’ll be tackling 1–2 crafting prompts. There are two prompts each week, and you can choose to participate in one or both!

Week 3: Afraid of the Dark 🌑 / Scurry 🐀

These backpacks are knitted, with each one inspired by a different Eeveelution. But the fun detail is hiding on the inside—every backpack has a lining featuring all the colors of the evolutions! 🌈✨

A little throwback to one of my favorite Ren Faire creations: my Dice Goblin costume!

This whole outfit was handmade with a LOT of creativity (and probably an unreasonable amount of crafting chaos). The costume itself is crocheted, while the staff is a mix of PVC, 3D-printed pieces, and modeling clay.

Because what’s a Dice Goblin without a suitably suspicious staff for hoarding dice?

A few years later, I still love how this one came together. There’s something extra satisfying about taking a weird little idea and turning it into a full costume from scratch.

There’s a certain kind of magic in that moment when summer starts to fade. 🍂💜 The evenings get a little cooler, the days a little shorter, and suddenly those deep purple sunsets feel like a preview of the season ahead.

These hand-painted earrings were inspired by those last warm August skies—the kind that make you want to slow down and hold onto summer just a little longer. 🌅✨

As Noah Kahan sings in End of August, “the end of summer.” 🎶💜
