Two colors. One final dye pool. Absolute magic. ✨

​When I was twisting up these new Second Chance minis, I couldn’t help but think of mini firecrackers exploding against a twilight sky. 🎆

​The coolest part? This entire shifting palette of deep blues, soft lavenders, and neon pinks came from just two colors breaking and meeting in the pan.

Because they were created using the remaining dye from today's studio session, they are the definition of a limited edition—once they're gone, they are truly gone!

Introducing: Dandelion Wine 🌼🍷

This colorway is incredibly close to my heart. When I was a kid, my family had just moved to a new house in a brand-new town. Not long after we arrived, a neighbor came over with a unique request—she asked if she could pick every single dandelion in our yard because she used them to make homemade dandelion wine.

That memory flooded back when I watched these warm, golden-yellow speckles break across the fluffy base. It’s sweet, a little nostalgic, and looks exactly like a bottle of trapped summer sunshine.

This morning’s dye pots are all about experimentation. ✨

I’m playing with layered yellow speckles on my Suri Alpaca/Silk Cloud base — warm golden tones, smoky mustard flecks, and little bursts of sunshine scattered across all that fluffy softness. Right now it looks a little chaotic in the pan, which honestly is part of the fun.

One of my favorite things about hand dyeing is the moment where you *don’t quite know* what’s going to happen yet. Sometimes the biggest surprises become the most beautiful colorways. 💛

Now we wait and see what the yarn decides to become once it’s rinsed and dried.
