The results of the dye pot rescue are officially in, and Dark Matter has arrived. 🌌✨
If you saw my stories earlier, you know this batch took me on a bit of a scenic route. I was chasing a very specific, moody depth for this new colorway, but the first round didn't hit the mark. So, I took all 16 full skeins back to the pans, trusted my gut, and tried out a brand-new twisting technique with a dark green-black glaze.
The risk completely paid off. The stark contrast is gone, replaced by smoky forest greens, deep teal shadows, and shifting currents of slate. And my favorite part? That gorgeous gold didn't get swallowed up—it transformed into a rich, tarnished antique brass that brilliantly cuts through the darkness.
Named Dark Matter (a little nod to my own name, Darcy, meaning "the dark one" 🖤), this colorway is atmospheric, brooding, and exactly what I wanted it to be.
They are fresh off the drying racks and can be found on the website now!
Drop a 🖤 if you’re ready to dive into the dark side with this batch.
