Now the fun part starts with the interiors!

Every once in a while we are surprised by the craftsmanship and dedication of school system staff.

These images are of a conference table - handcrafted by the facilities department staff of the Caldwell County Schools. While the project designed by McKissick Architecture was able to preserve many of the sites historic trees (including a white oak dated to 1740) several could not. The wood used in making this table was salvaged from one of those lost trees estimated at nearly 200 years of age, then kiln dried for nearly two years.

This is the real deal - with wonderful character and real texture - and now graces the main office conference room of the Granite Falls Middle School designed by our firm.

While lost, this tree will continue to give to this community for generations to come.

Insights was pleased to have been chosen to provide design, selection, and procurement for this 825 middle school.

Teaching podiums for our latest new middle school coming off the assembly line this afternoon...... we have found that furnishings have really become the differentiator in the 2020's for educational experiences.
